I heard on Freakonomics that one of the reasons that Norway has so many Teslas is because their EV purchases are heavily subsidized. So much so that they end up paying as little for a Tesla as they would for an ICE. Interestingly, that was my first intro to Tesla and I have been obsessed with Teslas ever since.
