A: No, we've got to build version 1 first. Full production in 3-4 years. Sometime between now and 3-4 years from now, will think about GF 2 and 3.

I think there's a disconnect between the perception of Tesla's mission as a CAR company vs. as Tesla's mission as a SUSTAINABLE ENERGY company.
Those who only view Tesla as an amazing car maker don't want to be distracted by the green questions from those who view it as a sustainable energy evangelist. Understandable, but to each his own...

Those who only view Tesla as an amazing car-making company don't want to be distracted by the green questions from those who view it as a sustainable energy one. Understandable, but to each his own.

But Tesla is not a "great car" company, it's a company which wants to bring sustainable transport, and sustainable energy, as fast as possible. That is actually the company's mission statement.
