2016 model S has no summon feature??

Does your car have an autopilot software package that includes the summon feature?

What does it say under Controls -> Software -> Additional Vehicle Information?

If you have full autopilot with AP1 (no cameras in the B pillars is an easy way to tell) you should have “simple” summon, which basically just means you can tell the car to drive straight forward or straight backwards (will make adjustment to avoid hitting things).

Smart Summon comes with later versions of AP. Odds are your 2016 has AP1 (like mine).

@Toenee[/USER] says it isn't showing up in either place so either autopilot is turned off or maybe this has autopilot 2 hardware but Tesla downgraded it to the simpler "basic autopilot" they introduced recently.

im on AP1, with Autopilot in settings. It’s the one that was just before the upgrade to AP2 in 2016.

It looks like you don't have the Auto Pilot Convenience features enabled. I know those had to be purchased. I don't know if you can still buy them, although it's just a software update OTA to enable them.

You have Autopilot hardware. You don't appear to have Autopilot software.

Nope. Basic AP became standard only in 2018 I think. Convenience features gives you more than basic AP.
