2016's getting pushed back?

When is your car due?

Well it is in production. Perhaps it will be out of production on Thursday the 18th based upon the number of days average for production plus the holiday.

So then the typical transit time from Fremont to Connecticut is 10 to 15 days by train & truck or if enclosed truck perhaps as low as 7 or 8 days.

This means that the car could be here on the 24th or 25th if by Truck or lets say 7 days longer by train so perhaps Thursday March 3rd at the earliest by train.
Now for those dates to work everything has to go right and smoothly.... that probably will not happen.

Recently however, Model X Signature deliveries to Connecticut have been coming in with Enclosed Trailer trucks and a few Model S ride along with them.

So you never know.

You did not say what your MyTesla status currently shows???

yah so the "." is a website update issue. my DS was unaware of it until i contacted him last week. he said he would get his people on it. :D

my car is still in IT limbo but... i have reached an enlightenment point were i figure the car will be ready when its ready and looking at mytesla page over and over wont... really do anything especially since its busted!

Received an email today [Feb. 9] from our DC, saying the car has entered production. The website reports a big nothing for the estimated delivery date.

Today apparently our car is done and will be sent out way. The delivery experience specialist says we should get it the last week of February or the first week of March. The website reports delivery Feb 20-27. Exciting.

OK,, Ok,,, deep breath,,, Ok... Ok...

IN FRACKIN' TRANSIT this AM! the "." DOT changed to IN TRANSIT....

I shall be calling my DS this morning to hear how and when....

Excited....

(this means the factory worked on President's Day for sure)... grateful my S did not go into one of those In Production black holes....

No change to MyTesla page. I will check back in a few days after shipping from factory.

How do they NOT know the verbiage on the MyTesla page does not get updated? These details & their lack of attention drives me nuts.

Ok, Ok, no more nuts for you... smiles, smiles....

UPDATE: My DS will be calling me in a few...

Congratulations! Those are great news!

PS: I should take delivery tomorrow, so I did some searching on forum for tips and advice on delivery:
see page 6 - Model S Delivery Checklist and Owners Guide - Google Docs

and those great advice from @Electricfan
When you take delivery, DON'T let them shove the Ipad in your face and ask you to press the "Accept delivery" button before you have thoroughly inspected the car. Off the top of my head, here are things you should check (some were bad on my car delivered in June, all but one fixed now)

1. use your cars charge cable - plug it into a 120V outlet and push its button - does the charge port door open? If not, on the first try, make them replace the charge port as you have one of the gluey ones that stick closed, and you don't want that!
2. open the frunk - check all the plastic panels - are they in place? flush? snapped in good?
3. drive the car - get on the highway and go 70 mph - any noises? a thumping noise might mean the stoppers on the hatchback lid need adjustment
4. run your fingers over the rubber gaskets on each door - are they fixed in place? one of mine hangs loose and moves a couple of inches out of place if you rub it with your hand - still don't have this fixed
5. are all your floor mats in place? mine weren't and the plastic part that holds them down (its a round thing that screws into the carpet) was laying on the floorboard.
6. while you're driving it, go someplace and make a hard left u-turn - does anything make any noise in the dash - there have been cars that had something loose in the dash they had to remove
7. are there any squeeks in the dash, particularly above the 17 in touchscreen? they can put a felt strip in that will silence this

My car did the same as yours - got stuck after production in the quality check - and as it turned out for good reason. You might also go over the paint very closely and note any big defects.

Either go over the car with a fine tooth comb before "Accepting delivery" on the IPad, or forever hold your peace!!!

congrats everyone!

still in "." limbo here...

Jeremy:
Let's bet that you take delivery PRIOR to me... You are in Cali so your transit time will be a few days... not weeks...
I am confident in this...

My DS called, a bit too early to get details on the transport type.
He will fill me in as he learns more... however the system he is looking at
shows March 15th as the delivery date.

So I just got off the phone with my DS. He said my car will enter production late next week (last week of feb) but he still expects delivery to be early to mid march. Do you guys think this is possible? It is being delivered to NJ. Should I expect late march?

Mine finished production on Feb 6th with the delivery window showing as "February 27, 2016 - March 12, 2016" (to Atlanta, GA). My DS says March 1st is the tentative date. So about 3 weeks total. So for you, mid-march seems likely given a similar distance from CA. I think a lot has to do with rail transport, which apparently is rather unreliable in terms of transit time (not sure if it's because Tesla groups up large numbers of cars to send at once, or the actual railway, or both).

Plus lets not forget the car handlers on each end and in the East we are in snow season so snow storms can wreck havoc with car transport lots and gear. Most of the train shipments run thru Chicago and even the various auto carrier cars on the train may have to switch to other locomotives. It is not as clean cut moving heavy metal... It is called Logistics.
