2017 Model X 100D - 89,000km - too late for Extended Warranty?

Looking at a used private sale on a 2017 X 100D with 89,000 km. Wanted to add a 2 year extended warranty but website says you need to add it before your base warranty expires and/or less than 1600km over (81,600 km). Has anyone been able to get Tesla to bend and add an extended warranty at this type of mileage ?

My service advisor told me I have till 55000 miles to buy it. He told me they usually extend up to 5k post warranty. You'll still be over at 89k km. Check with your service center and see what they say.

I called Tesla and they said it is too far over for the extended warranty and won't be eligible. Bummer.
