A Leaf with a 60kWh pack would be great. This has been posted about before on TMC.

Okay Nissan, now stop showing us absurdly styled "concept" cars and build a new Leaf with a useful range. And by the way, build a useful long distance high speed charging network. Nissan could easily afford to do that. But they won't....

Hate to "say it ain't so" but that's just a concept. Though hopefully the new Leaf, if it really does have a 60kWh battery, will be competitive with the 3 and the Bolt. The more quality BEVs available to the public, the better.

To get 300 miles out of a 60kWh pack (unbuffered) you'd have to return 5miles/kWh. Not very likely at a competitive pricepoint.

the leaf is a fine car but it is a limited range EV.
it's best usage is as a daily commuter especially when combined with the ability to recharge while at work. as a long distance vehicle is poor choice when put up against other options like a tesla.
