Latest rumors were one in Downtown/Kakaako and one in Kapolei. There have been a bunch of personnel changes at the Ala Moana store and service center so just trying to connect with the right person who's handling the search now. Unfortunately, some Hawaii employees were part of the 9% cuts

Latest I heard was downtown near the Palace and in Kailua by the Target. Not sure where we are in the permit process.

That's what the SC map shows. There's no room for property use such as this near the palace. Highly unlikely it will be near there.

I guess it depends on how many stalls Tesla is going to put in. I doubt they're going to lease land specifically for a SC, probably just partner with someone. Perhaps the urban SC is what we're going to get. Another possibility could be the open lots at Aloha Tower / Pier 5.

They've been eyeing Aloha Tower lots for a while, especially the little triangle piece next to the power plant. Not sure if they made any progress though. Am thinking an urban SC makes sense somewhere downtown.
