2x X90Ds,

Orders placed 12/23, Confirmed 12/30, went into production a couple of days ago, expected delivery is 3/27

SoCal here, Both 7seat with PUP and vented seats (me hopes)

Picked up one X90D. It was perfect, I scoured the car like crazy trying to find something wrong. The two things that I found was that one FWD was slightly lower than the other, but it had been sitting with the FWDs open for a few hours. After closing and reopening at the Service Center, they were both fine.

Also, I didn't realize the Power Liftgate strut is only on one side which makes it wiggle/wobble for a second when first opening. Service Tech advised both are normal behaviour.

Cameras are still calibrating. Sucks that there is no cruise control (not even basic) without the calibration being complete. Can't wait for it to be calibrated and 8.1 Firmware :D

Thanks everyone for the active community here -- my first post, but I've used the forums extensively over the last year.

I am picking up my first Tesla, Model X 75D tomorrow. Unfortunately, DS called today and left a message saying she had "some news". The front bumper somehow gained a deep scratch en route Fremont -> San Francisco. They offered to let me pick up, and arrange service appointment to replace the bumper. Sound reasonable? The alternative is not picking it up until it is replaced, which I'm afraid could take a long time.

MX 75D, 6 seats
Vin: 40XXX
Ordered: 12-29-17
Confirmed: 1-6-17
Production: 3-9-17
Estimated Delivery: Late March - Early April
Delivery: March 22

I can't imaging waiting to start driving while they wait for a replacement bumper to arrive. That said, don't sign the paperwork until you have their proposed fix in writing. Your DS wants to make things right, but if they are suggesting something against policy and you have nothing in writing then it could get unnecessarily contentious.

So here is another take. And here's a question to the forum:
If you refuse delivery, will the SC be more motivated to complete the repairs faster? Reason I ask is that I have seen recent threads of service woes because parts are slow to arrive.
Any first hand experience out there?

I don't have any first hand experience, but it's my understanding that the delay is usually with headquarters not having enough parts. I don't think the SC is the bottleneck most times.

However, refusing delivery has other advantages. You keep your money longer or you may delay lease payments, fewer miles driven, possibly fewer trips to the SC (important if you live far from SC), and it may give them an incentive to prioritize your vehicle.
