All my paperwork was done, and the car paid for. The DS said as long as that was done, and the car was out of their oosession, it counted.

Yeah, actually when I was picking mine up yesterday, the DS said you either take delivery in the store by end of quarter, or agree to home delivery and sign for everything ahead of time. In those cases, they count towards the quarter since delivery has for all intents and purposes ocurred.

Apparently they did a bunch of them, with some folks not getting their cars for another 6 weeks in some cases

I was promised delivery the first week of July...the inside sales person called it "Express Delivery". We'll see if it happens.

We were promised Express Home Delivery too in order to sign before taking physical delivery. The car is still sitting at the Service Center back east. We got 13k off sticker and they gave us a brand new MX to use until ours shows up, so I can't complain.

Shady way of punching cars for EOQ nonetheless. They are obviously still in possession of our car.

At least you got a loaner MX. Did you have a production order that was transferred to an inventory car? And that is a serious discount...what version did you buy?

We simply walked in at the right moment and found an inventory car that had just come available in the system.
My OA is a friend who's been looking for an MX for us the last month or so. We knew EOQ would bring out some good deals but I had lost hope. We snagged this one on 6/25

Just an update to add to the statistics:

Ordered 05/29
Confirmed 06/04
Production Start 06/06
Left Factory: 06/25
Delivered: 07/03

There were some issues with my car though.
1. Right FWD keeps sending there's something is close by, so it doesn't open more than 70%. This occurs about 80% of the time and works regularly the rest of the time

2. Left FWD squeaks at the top of the swing during opening operations. Is fine when closing.

3. Some obvious fit and finish issues. Left side of car looks great. Right side of car has a small misalignment between FWD and front door. Larger gaps around quarter window. If I look at the roof from the side, I can see the right FWD is slightly higher than the left.

With all these problems, the car drives like a dream, and didn't see any interior fit and finish issues. I was disappointed though since I scheduled to have the car wrapped one XPEL Stealth this Friday, but I guess that'll have to wait. I want the problems to be fixed the best they could before getting it wrapped, in case they need to replace a panel or something.

Anyone have had similar problems? How well did the SC fix everything? How long did they take? Thanks!

What's your VIN? Curious to see how fit and finish varies according to where it was in production...

My VIN is 549XX delivered late June. Everything was very minor, but the window clunking pushed me to take it in.My X is currently at the SC for the following:

Drivers side window pop/clunk
Drivers side window seal installed incorrectly
Trunk misalignment
Headliner falling at top of windshield
Tire/Balance vibration above 70mph

My VIN is 551xx and also an "end of quarter special" although we finally picked it up just last week due to some cosmetic damage during transit. They did sort out some panel & door alignment issues I had initially pointed out but the doors are still not flush at the bottom. Quarter panel windows flair out a bit. One FWD still sits slightly higher than the other on the roof. I also definitely noticed significant steering wheel vibration over 70mph and our head liner at the front is also loose. Driver door window has now developed a squeak when it closes. Going over bumps, we are getting a lot of squeaks and rattling inside. I've pinpointed one source to the driver side sun-visor rattling when stored and the magnet not making a secure lock when setting it on the windshield. Will give another week to see if we uncover any more issues before bringing it to the SC. We had a near identical MX 75D for two weeks as a loaner and it was pretty much flawless. Definitely didn't have any of the panel misalignments or other problems ours has. The loaner was built in May if I recall the sticker. In hindsight, I should have pushed back when the OA was rushing to get to our order consumated in time for the quarter end delivery.

Edit: I forgot the icing on the cake. They put the Tesla emblem on the trunk on when they did some repairs slightly crooked...

@pakman00 damn at that last one, that would have really pissed me off!

Overall I think my X is reasonable. I had a loaner 75 too at one point, but I didn't spend enough time to notice everything. As I've had my car for a few weeks I've slowly noticed bits and pieces. The vibration is probably the most annoying part, so that was top of my list when I went in. I don't have ghosting, so that's the saving grace for me as Iwould be in the SC everyday demanding another windshield.

BTW, both my front windows squeak when the door is closed and they go up fully. I'm going to use the Gummy Pfledge from Amazon recommended in another thread as soon as I get my car back. I thought about having them adjust it, but I'm afraid of the wind noise if they move the window out too much. I'll take the squeak instead.

What's crazy is that looking over my wife's 2010 Lexus RX, I still can find almost nothing wrong with it and it has no rattles or squeaks after 8yrs and 90k miles! Tesla gave me a loaner 2016 Volvo S80 with 25k on it. That car has more rattles, squeaks and road noise than I've ever heard, a wicked vibration on the highway and overall is incredibly shoddy workmanship. Makes my X look like a Lexus in comparison. :)

Ordered Model X 75 D June 21st (Located in Toronto, Canada)
Order Confirmed June 24th.
My VIN is 576xx
Estimated delivery range July - Early August.
Estimated delivery range then changed to August - Early September
Estimated delivery range changed again to September - Early October, which it is currently sitting at right now.

Reached out to delivery specialist and he was claiming that it may just be a clerical error but they are awaiting confirmation on that. He did confirm with me that my order is scheduled for production mid August. Not sure how long production takes but I am assuming shipping it to Canada would add to the wait time.
