I ordered my X100D today. Anyone know roughly when it will go into production?

Also I'm a bit worried I will miss some major October functions. When does Tesla usually introduce features?

I purchased a custom order X100D on Sept 1. The DS there said to expect a delivery by end of Sept.

I got assigned a VIN 68xxx on Sept 5 with a delivery estimate of late Oct to Nov.

On Sept 8, the delivery estimate change to late Sept to Oct.

Just got a call today (Sept 10) from DS saying due to the demand, they wouldn't be able to meet the end of Sept delivery. Damn! However, they did find a brand new X in inventory that just came off the line a few days ago with the same specs (VIN 65xxx). Snagged it and will get it by the end of Sept and came out to be a couple grand cheaper too. Yay! Can't wait! View specs shows APH3 and BTX6

More than likely - they could have built it for end of quarter but there is a growing amount of inventory that may match custom orders and it's easier to pick from inventory than go ahead and build another at this time. Makes for good logistics.

Which is a lot easier to do when there are only a few options... :D (PUP, wheels, paint, three interior colors, roof for the S, and the rare things like the rear seats).

Speaking of which, what ever happened to the 'new configurator' with the 'completely packaged' cars and everything else was custom and took longer? Perhaps they figured out the one-main-option PUP was a good enough starting point?

Took delivery today! Car had 10 miles on it when I drove it off. Cruise control, air suspension and autopilot were disabled during calibration. Just short of 50 miles on the odometer adaptive cruise control and autopilot turned on. Haven't confirmed air suspension. I thought I had taken 5-10 photos of the interior at the dealer but must have been so excited the only photos I had were these.

Does your ViewSpec now say APH3?

It does not. But I am not worrying too much. I double confirmed with both my DS and OA whether I would be getting AP2.5. Though they did not use the term "AP2.5", they said that I would get the "redundant wiring" and the "latest and greatest AP HW". So I feel fairly confident that my car is a AP2.5. I'll also come to know on delivery date if AEB is disabled - that would be another indication that my car is an AP2.5. My car was build last week.

Ok, that's great to know. Mine is currently being produced so I hope to have APH3 as well. On a side note, did you have any luck finding someone to install a clearbra for around 500? I'm getting a quote from OCDetailing but have yet to hear back.

VIN: 637XX

Ordered 7/24/17
Confirmed 7/27/17
Estimated delivery: September - Early October (though Delivery Specialist says mid-season)

UPDATE 8/27 Status changed to "in production" 8/27 (though it might have been Fri, 8/25)

UPDATE 9/12: Estimate delivery changed to "September 18-October 2, 2017" as of today. Consistent with what I have been discussing with Delivery Specialist regarding a 9/29 delivery date (a date that works well with my lease end).

Fantastic! And interesting everything seems to work after all the talk about weeks until AP2.5 would work. *Maybe* that's only AEB, but I would hope it would tell you that was disabled, if so!

I would hope SAS (air suspension) would not depend on calibration, lol! Great looking car, can't wait for mine next week! Have fun!

If it was actually built in September, it has AP2.5 (should have code APH3), and has the newest updates. No matter what the sometimes inaccurate option list says. :D

They aren't going to have two assembly lines and two sets of parts to use!

Congratulation to you.
I ordered a 75X in July, confirmed 8/1 and have been "in production" since 9/1. VIN 64,049.
How did I get so far behind????????
Your VIN is only a few behind mine, and my car is arriving this week (delayed delivery to me to next week because we're out on vacation!). I would have thought it would have definitely finished production by now. Does your DS have any light to shed?

My DS was out yesterday and today. Assistant says still on for delivery on 16th of September, we will see.
Since I am in SoCal, this sort of confirms the theory that they are shipping to the mid west and east coast first.
Let's hope we all get our deliveries as scheduled!

We have the same timeline. Ordered on the same day. I am on the east coast and i am scheduled for 25th of September. I think the deliveries are consistent.

Mine went into production 5th Sept and today the status switched to the car is built and being sent to port.

The code still reflects APH2 but again I think that may be an error as I agree there won't be two assembly lines!
