2017 VIN Model X Order and Delivery

Just took delivery of a 100D that we ordered 9/15. Production completed last week Thursday. Unfortunately several issues with alignments and, most importantly, the entire tow package is missing. First they tried to tell me that it is not included, when it clearly should have been! Only after I insisted they told me they would source the parts and let me know. When your hitch is missing, make sure to have them look under the bumper and see if the actual assembly is there - in my case that was missing as well.

That’s really disappointing at this stage of the game. I’ll keep an eye out on my delivery.

Most disturbing was when they tried to insist that it is optional, but when I ordered it was clearly stated that it is included and there is no longer an option to even add this separately as it is standard. I also noticed that my GPS location is not updating and the car claims that it is still in Fremont!

Makes you wonder with so many alignment issues how the quality check up process is like. One would think that alignment should be a top of the list of things to make sure is right since by now is very well known issue. Other than the car turning on and moving forward when you press on the pedal what other points are included in their quality check ups..???? When you are dropping >100K you shouldn’t have to be worrying or that you wont have to leave your car in the repair shop before even taking possession of it.

I’m not picky, but for those 5 days the SC had the car, they missed quite a few things. I think they will fix everything, but it shouldn’t have to be that way.

Welp - I got out of line after finding an inventory car at a Portland location. Taking delivery next week. It's 95% of what I wanted, except for the interior color and the 6 seat (I ordered the 7).

I figured the few thousand dollar discount was worth it - and, honestly, I was originally after the 6 seat version and switched to the 7 to save a few thousand dollars. So it all works out in the end!

I was in the same boat. I really liked the idea of the walk-through aisle. Not to mention the 7 seater looks claustrophobic for folks in the back row. I decided on the 7 seater because I would prefer to have the trunk space for long trips but may need to haul more people on short distances. We have small kids so I don't assume they would complain about the tight space for at least another 10 years. I am considering the 6 seater for inventory cars too. Congrats btw!

My delivery is scheduled for Tuesday! But guess what arrived today? I was told I could drive it home however we have a family wedding over the weekend and my wife would kill me if I preoccupied myself and drove it home tonight. I needed to swing by to get a sneak peek!

Same here, ordered 11/11, confirmed (as seen in the website, not via email or phone) on 11/14. VIN 78xxx. How do I contact my delivery specialist or are they going to contact me?

Ordered MX 100D on 11/11, confirmed 14th and VIN number show up already showing 78xxx ... delivery specialist told me to expect the delivery on the 28th of Dec. Hopefully I can get it before EOY.

I never had a "Manage" button on my account page before. I would login and it would take me directly to my vehicle details. Not sure if this is something that happens when you are about to go into production or just a website change that happened for everyone.

Can someone confirm if they saw this change also when logging in or just before or after their vehicle went into production?
