That’s because FAA just gave Tesla approval to push firmware to Model X in USA to make them fly. The Christmas Show, which mysteriously disappeared recently, was just a proof of concept for the wing-flapping of the falcon wing doors. Now that they worked out the bugs, it’s pushing out to the masses. Happy flying!

That was the codeword for Autopilot improvements back with the 2017.42 "silky smooth" update. And I think maybe 2018.10.4 as well. I might be overly optimistic.

Thank you! Well so did 2018.10.4 and so many others that brought big changes. Once you have had a chance to drive, please please let us know if you notice any differences to AP. What version of AP do you have?

I just got this update before Teslafi notified me. This is a first. Updating now. I don't even care what it has I am just happy to be among the first. They can make the turn signal blink faster and I'd be happy.

Have vector maps sped up at all. We didn’t update out X to 24.1 because it broke the Christmas show Andy vector maps on my Model S suck. Both our X and S have MCU 1

People worked really hard to get them to include that line - always helpful to know what a release is not, in other words.

If years past are any guide, it being summer and all, I'm not expecting much until the vaunted "end of August" v9.x", which probably means after (US) Labor Day. Maybe one more preparatory release before that.

Just to curb some enthusiasm. Expect 3, definitely 6 months delay to August's 9.0 release. Just a gut feeling, no facts of internal knowledge.
