2018 Midwest Tesla Gathering - Electrifying the Automotive State

Join us July 14th, 2018 in Ann Arbor for the 2018 Midwest Tesla Gathering.

Last year's event in Indianapolis was a great success attended by over 175 people with 85 Teslas zooming around the track. This year looks to be just as much fun. We'll be in Ann Arbor, MI this year running pace laps on the Michigan International Speedway.

Registration includes access to the track, buffet lunch at the track, and sit down dinner with hors d' oeuvres and speaker before dinner.

We'll be in Ann Arbor, MI this year running pace laps on the Michigan International Speedway.

Sorry for the newb type question...but what exactly does that mean when you say "running pace laps"?

@IT Geek Pace laps are lead by a Pace car. The cars on the track are restricted to the speed of the pace car as determined by the track. Since this is not a driving school, which is beyond our budget, cars are not allowed to just "race" around the track.

Is there another thread on discussing or planning this event? I'm registered and preparing to meet up on Friday night, but I'm not a Tesla owner... yet. I'm going to hang out with the owners and hopefully bum a ride from someone.
