No sales tax benefit in CA
OP is not an idiot. In California, there is no sales tax benefit in trade-ins.
i'm interested in what Tesla's valuation for this car is.Are you interested in the car?
The price is $75K, if anyone is interested. I'll be accepting Tesla's trade-in offer in a few days. BTW, it has 4,050 miles now.
The MC Red is a $2.5K option, and the grey slipstream wheels another $1.5K. The carbon fiber interior trim is another $500. Car is always garaged and I don't smoke; it still has that new car smell, for good or bad.
You have to offer a price that is a good deal to you, and not based on how big a depreciation I should be getting. There is no time machine and you can't get May 2019 prices anymore.
I am considering selling my 2018 Model S 100D, in Multi-coat Red. It has the carbon interior, with Sonic Carbon 19" wheels. Perfect condition. Built in December 2018, and purchased in mid-May 2019. Warranty until May 2023. Right now it has EAP, although I only paid for AP.
The car is in the Bay Area. Send me an offer if you are interested.
so what's Tesla's trade in? Also can you post page 2 of the purchase agreement that shows final price paid?
I don't see how this is relevant information. Either you come to a price that makes not parties happy or you don't.
I paid about the same for my 90D as you did for your 100D. KBB and Tesla both say it's now worth $37,500. It was hard news for me as I couldn't afford my new Raven at that price, but no one seems willing to pay me even $50K. I'd guess you might get closer to $45K or $50K. I have decided to drive mine, as it still runs quiet, quick and smooth, with the interior still looking new. I live in the bay area, but we like to run around (in Phoenix now).
These cars are electric, so "mileage" means very little. There are no pistons, valves, rings, plugs, transmission gears to wear out, (well, 10 moving parts vs. 1000 moving parts), and it's those parts that shorten the life of a gas car. The electric car has a battery, and Tesla's battery has been warranted for 8 years, and will probably go twice that, so a car with 10,000 or 100,000 miles on it may only show windshield wiper wear.
Any of these still available? BTW, don't forget the $1,200 delivery fee.
