2018 Model X Load Floor Handle

Hi, I am looking for a spefici part and I am having trouble finding it. Tesla wants me to purchase a brand new load floor for my 2018 MX. The only part that is broken in the handle. It’s part number 470-002. They have quoted me $125 for the new load floor. Anyone have suggestions or ideas on how to find this one speciifc part for less than $125?

I had exactly the same problem and 3D printed my own replacement handle. I can print you one too for a much more modest fee.

It’s taken a while but i now have a 3D printed replacement part that seems stronger than the original - at least I’ve tested it to 40lbs. Please contact me by email 1766inbj at gmail dot com if you’d like me to print one for you - cost is $25 + postage.

Hi there, this exact thing happened to me yesterday. I still have the original load floor handle (metal piece) but it looks like it broke through the plastic piece holding it in place. Do you still offer a fix for $30 + s/h?

I bought the replacement part from Rick ( email: 1766inbj at gmail dot com ). His 3D printed part has four supports for the handle pin. And each support is clearly stronger than the factory two supports. Rick was great. He responded quickly with answers to my questions, confirmed payment and sent shipping information.
