Reason for selling: recently sold my Performance Model S as we will be a one car family for a little while(with 2 motorcycles). So decided to upgrade to a Performance Model X. I have a trade in offer of $74,100(screenshot attached) and since I will be buying a new Tesla I will get $2400 in tax savings. So I have an offer of $76,500. So no low ball offers and I am wondering if I can get any better than that. I understand the recent price drops and this would cost $92,000 new without the extras so please no opinions on pricing. As a matter of fact, please refrain from any discussion on my thread other than what’s relevant. One of my recent threads ended up being a bloodshed between 2 members and one of the members getting banned Starting a new thread is free

I have tons of photos. Send me an email or a text and I will send them. One of the cleanest and best looking cars on the market.
Thanks for checking out my ad.

It says payoff is zero as I requested this trade-in estimate out of curiosity before I sold my P85D. It was before all these price drops and I believe a new tradein value would be lower and void my previous offer so not submitting another. Anyways, there is a loan on the vehicle

Take the trade in offer and run.

+1

Your timing was really good. I can almost guarantee you that if you re-submit it, it will be around $65k. I seriously doubt anyone will buy it at $78k. Too many deficiencies compared to a new one (Raven suspension, 351 miles of range compared to 295, full 4 year/50k mile warranty, can configure how you want, etc). Your price is only $14k less than a new one exactly like it. Most people spending $78k will just spend $14k more and get exactly what they want with the latest technology.

I'm definitely not trying to hijack your thread. Just telling you that you should run to the Tesla store before they dream up some technicality to get out of that trade in offer.

One of the members on a FB group said he got $84K for a 2019 PX. So I am counting my blessings and hoping trade in would not be an issue
Maybe selling it outright or possibly trading last year but he didn’t get that from Tesla. I just got quotes from Tesla on 3 of my Teslas and I’m trading 2 of them in. I just wanted to see what they would do on my Performance S for comparison to my Performance 3 I’m trading. They have a trade in team that reviews all trade cars. It isn’t a local decision that could vary.

You misread my post. 2019 Raven Perf X with 8K miles or so got $84K. I am saying I got lucky when compared to that

I took it as I thought you said they traded a 2019 Performance X in and Tesla gave them $84k. I was saying that i thought that possibly the car was sold outright for that amount but I don’t think in today’s market Tesla would give them anywhere near that $84k based on my actual recent Tesla trade experience. I’m sorry if I misread I’m not sure what. I’ll just leave it as I don’t believe everything I read on Facebook. Good luck with your sale but that trade number looks like a great deal.

Car sold!!

All the owners who are looking to sell, try other venues like Autotrader, FB marketplace, FB Tesla groups. As someone else pointed out, this forum is notorious for price policing. I sold both my cars at asking price while all I got here was opinions on pricing(mostly from people who are not looking to buy) and some free advice which was not asked for. I got multiple offers for both my cars. For this car, I got an offer above my asking price but I sold it to the other person I committed to first. People need to understand that the seller can ask whatever he/she wants. They will lower the price on their own terms not because some random person advises them.

GOOD LUCK!

Yep, there are suckers born every minute! :) Glad you found at least one of them on Facebook - far fewer of them here.

It's a public forum, you're gonna get lots of input and opinions. Personally, the arrogance in your statement of "As a matter of fact, please refrain from any discussion on my thread other than what’s relevant" was enough to convince me I wouldn't do business with you even if it was the best priced car I've ever seen.

Your mistake is thinking there are not buyers here. There are plenty, they just aren't going to overpay.

Why's that so difficult for sellers to understand?
