Since it’s so close to the edge of the door, they wouldn’t be able to push out the dent on it. Therefore they stated that the door would have to be replaced.

Door replacement will involve alot of labor and painting the adjacent panels to match/blend. What kind of estimate did you get? Has the cost of repairing the door been taken into account when figuring selling price?

I think you can take it to a PDR shop that knows what they're doing, they may be able to pop that out much cheaper than the cost of a door replacement.

How much to fix that huge dent? If the door needs replacement I’m sure it would run $3,000 to fix. That’s what my friends cost.

IMO that's high. Just bought the same car in black with 20k miles for $43,500. Might want to spend the 1k on repair yourself and then sell it for a similar price.
