OMG, this must be one of them collector Tesla's everyone is talking about. You should be asking way more than just $9K over MSRP!

Ha, looks like you're pretty good at spamming everyone's threads, but that's fine :)

You are right. I am going to spam threads where people are selling a used 1 year old mass produced sedan for more than what you can pay for it new. What f"ing world do you live in where this seems like a legit price? You are the one spamming this forum with a ridiculous for sale ad. This forum is an absolute joke.

Just to give you an idea as to where the price came from:

$56-57k for a new performance Model 3 (included autopilot is not the same as EAP)

Fully Body Xpel Ultimate PPF $6000
Chrome Delete $1500
Ceramic Pro PPF $750
Ceramic Tints (Huper Optik is arguably the best in this space) $1000
Powder Coated Wheels $1000

All of this was done at one of the Bay Area's best PPF/tint dealers.

The price reflects what the car is worth, especially for those people who want something very specific without going through the hassle of all the upgrades, or are simply unfamiliar with the process.

OP, you're going to have a hard time selling this

Model 3
$55,000
+$1000 exterior color
+$1000 white interior
+$6000 FSD
+$1200 Dest fee
-$1875 federal credit
=$62,325

+$10,250 worth of aftermarket stuff

=$72,575

Being offered for $65,000

That's $7,575 off new, if you wanted all this stuff. And with EAP instead of FSD.

Upgrading to FSD would be $3,000, bringing this to just $4,575 off new. I don't think you're going to be able to sell at this price, maybe $3000 less to account for FSD would be an ok deal, but then you'd still have to find someone who wants all this stuff.

EDIT: Looks like OP replied while I was figuring this out. $60,000 isn't too bad! That is a $9,575 discount for the used car, seem reasonable, if you wanted all these extras.

Thumbs up for making the price a little more realistic.

But, dang, you got shafted on the PPF, and especially, the chrome delete if that’s what you really paid. Wow.
It’s a good friend of mine who owns the shop and I always like giving him the business. And like I said this is not some generic shop - these guys are the best. That PPF included a full 3 stage paint correction and slip lo bumper protection. And for the chrome delete they actually remove every piece of trim to wrap so the coverage is much better.

Honest question, why waste all that money on a car screen protector to only sell after a year?

Beautiful car! Sadly, something that should be a benefit (wraps/tint) keeps me from making an offer on this car. It is exactly what I'm looking for, but I'd be looking at a price of new ($56K), minus the depreciation of a one year old car. Hopefully you'll find someone who finds the value in the wraps/tints. This is explicitly against the forum rules:
General chit-chat in "For Sale" threads

Mod Note: A number of posts were removed from this thread. For sale threads are not the place for debates about price or discussions about pricing formulas. Please respect the sellers and keep discussion on topic and between interested parties.

Basically, if you think pricing is too high, keep it to yourself unless the OP asked for pricing advice. If cars don't sell, people will lower their prices. They don't need all the socialist neophytes telling them how to price their personal property.
