2019.12.1.1 on S75D AP1- Improved supercharging! (Slightly)

Last night I got 2019.12.1(was on 2018.50.6 on my 2015 Model S(was a 70D but pack was replaced with a 75) and was pleasantly surprised this morning when I supercharged.

20% left and the moment I plugged the car jumped to 96kW right away and ramped up to 102kW(Jumped to 103 for a few bursts). I had never seen this before on my 75 pack(Before I barely got 96kW at peak with a slowwww ramp-up to get there). It's no 150kW but I'll happily take any extra juice I can get.

As far as update notes from what I got:

• Preconditioning when routing to supercharger
• 2 new atari games and updated full screen view
• Dog mode(Finally have this..)
• UI for air-conditioning changed for me
• Added language support menu
  
• Software update menu under car settings

Anyone else with the 75 pack noticed the same improved speeds?

Hmm, I have always seen 100-110 kW at low SOC. Still on 2018.50.6.

You should document that because you would literally be the first and only one. Or you have a BTX8 85kwh battery and don’t yet know it (doubt this as evidence to date suggests all of those ended up outside the US).

I saw 111 at 28% SoC yesterday at the Glen Allen supercharger, which is still limited to 120 kw. This was on a road trip with the supercharger as the destination, and temp in the mid 80's. Previous best before that was like 92 or 93. I do feel like it shaved some time off my charging stop.

Ok, I wasn’t aware there was such a difference between 85 and 75 in terms of supercharging speed. I suppose I shouldn’t expect much of a bump in SC speed when I finally get the 2019 update then.

I had the same on my 60 at the weekend - definitely charges at a higher rate

I also did a test last weekend at a supercharger with the new update. I have a S75 and previous max charging was around 90kw. I came in to the supercharger with 10 miles of range and hit 106kw for about 15 min before it started to taper down.

I had a chance to stop a charger was able to get the full 110kw charge rate.

I’m consistently getting 108kw around 20% SoC and staying over 90 until nearly 50%, on a 75 battery with 80k miles. Good stuff.

Havent had a chance to try out mine. I wasnt even sure if 75 battery packs would have a boost. Glad to hear it does! Ill take any boost we can get

You should probably mention if you navigated to the superchargers and possibly had the battery pre-heating activated which would increase charging speed.

My experience last Friday at the near-full SC:

This is the max I have seen:

Battery precondition was on and I arrived with about 39 or 40 miles or range remaining. Standard Model S75.

How many miles are on your car and how much Supercharging have you done? 75 packs will start restricting Supercharger speed at around 2,600 kWh of DC fast charging, according to Tesla.
