2019.40.2.3 for AP1 cars

I got this update. Installed this morning. Release notes are the same but it also says it has High Voltage Battery Diagnostics Improvements. Something about being able to better detect performance degradation.

I hope this means that cars with older batteries will show more accurate range. I think this is needed especially as gen 1 cars start to get up in age, it's good that Tesla is thinking about how to better track their battery life.

Maybe this will allow Tesla to reinstate faster supercharging, especially if each car can self diagnose? Not every car’s pack is the same, therefore there shouldn’t be a blanket charge limit in place

That would be awesome because I have gen1 model S (60kWh) and my supercharging peaks at 50kW so if I get to a supercharger with less than 5 percent I have to charge for 1 hour and ten minutes to get to 95% and currently with battery degradation (2013 model S) my Max range is at 180, so I need to charge as much as possible when taking road trips. My most common trip is from fort Lauderdale to Orlando, and there is only 1 supercharger on the turnpike between the two stops and when I charge my car to 98-100% I make it to the supercharger with around 5 percent +/- 2percent so I have to use up the whole time in order to make it to final Orlando destination.

I’m in the same boat - my 60’s supercharging rate is abysmal these days. For busy sites, my car would be seen as a bit of a leper!

I got this picture from Tesla owners online forum, I have not installed yet. I'm excited to install and hope that my wishes come true and this update changes/improves supercharging for 60kWh batteries and accuracy of capacity reading

Got it this morning on my 2015 MS85D. Car still has 264 mile range after 40k miles so very little degradation. Will be driving it later today and on a 300 mile trip tomorrow. Will report back anything interesting.

Some people in this thread are making assumptions and then assigning praise based on those assumptions. Seems like kind of a pointless exercise.

Do you have gen 1? I have 2013 model S and k notice that my Regen goes to 60wh.... I recently got a loaner and noticed that a 2015 model S Regen "bar" only goes down to 50wh MAX
