2019 Feb order, with MVPA: New - Previous service/demo vehicle with 100 km

So... I ordered a MR3 shortly after the announcement of the SR3 and recently received my MVPA, but it says under the Description of Property: "New - Previous service/demo vehicle" with an odometer reading of 100 km. From reading around the forums this is supposed to mean that the car was either demo'ed in a showroom or test-driven. I've also read that people have rejected delivery and got matched up with a new VIN.

What I'm being told is that anyone taking delivery of mid-range 2018 builds this now will say that and that it's a new car. I'm also being told that they have no immediate plans to make mid-range models so if I rejected this one I may have to wait for a long time. So basically saying take it because it's a new car or else wait an indeterminate amount of time for a new one.

Is there any truth to the above and is there anything I can actually do about it? Anyone else in Canada order a MR3 confirm if this is true or not? I assume anyone seeing this on their MVPA would be concerned, which I certainly am.

I'd say it also doesn't matter. Is there a difference between 9km and 100km?

Did anyone have "New - previous service/demo vehicle" and got a similar explanation though?

Yeah, I'm not as concerned about the 100km as I've heard most end up with 10km - 20km on the odometer when actually receiving their cars. And yeah, I don't know if I want to wait 4 months for a newer model, so will definitely inspect it and ask more questions on the delivery day, since I confirmed I have the option to reject it if there are any issues.

Regarding difference between 9km and 100km, I don't see a reason for a new car to ever get up to 100km. Any new cars I've ever bought new had 2km - 8km on the odometer. A car having 100km equates to it being driven at the city speed limit for 2 full hours non-stop, which makes it very likely it was a car that was used for test drives or similar.

Mine came with 20km and had been a return - autopilot was accidentally left enabled and we found some change in the back seat... Car was great condition and had a month free of AP! There were some imperfections and scratches, service center took care of everything. And you'll still get the $5k rebate.

Car I bought before my Tesla came with 63km. Don't ask me why I remember that... Afaik cars need to be tested for various things prior to release. If they find an issue it needs to go to the shop, get fixed, retested. I could see them easily getting to 100km doing this.

Ok, short update. I called into Tesla directly instead of talking to my delivery specialist and supposedly cars marked as "New - Previous service/demo vehicle" can mean that it was slated to go to a showroom or used as a demo car but does not mean it was actually used as such. They actually have it on record that it was changed from "New" to "New - Previous service/demo vehicle" a week ago. Although this is plausible, I'm not very happy that the delivery specialist doesn't have this information and instead just telling me that all MR cars have that designation right now.

Yeah, I was originally matched to a 2018 vin with that designation. Rejected it and currently waiting for a 2019 vin.
