that’s a lawsuit...the recent incident was a person/buyer who lost it after tesla conducted an audit where they found the original owner/seller did not pay for the feature iirc.

This is not correct, and I know from first hand experience (sadly). If Tesla takes possession of the car, they CAN change the featureset and resell the car with a new feature set (including but not limited to stripping out software-enabled features to hit a lower price point).

Once the car, however, is sold by Tesla, they cannot make those changes.

Be wary of cars that have been purchased back by Tesla and doublecheck the exact configuration matches what is re-sold by them.
