2020.20.12 being pushed out now (6/9/2020)

Just got a notification that 2020.20.12 is ready for downloading to my Model 3. No idea what it is but assume to be some bug fixes. Thread on reddit says it's a surprise.

Three days ago I got 2020.20.5. This has to be the quickest update I've seen.

That was a fast update. Only took about 20 minutes. I put in a new WiFi mesh extender in my garage a couple of days ago that links my car to 5Ghz instead of the 2.4Ghz band. Signal is much stronger out on my driveway so now I don't have to park my car facing the garage anymore.

Maybe the fabled 2020.20.20 update will come in a couple of days!

Tesla mobile app was also updated to version 3.10.6 today. There have been past times when both app and car updates have appeared on the same day and that introduced some new unannounced feature. Not sure if that’s the case here but could be a possibility.

My app version is 3.10.5.

Good point. Those that talked about the app earlier didn’t have new firmware of course.

However fact that only HW3 is getting this leads me to think it really is a bug fix. But who knows.

3rd update since last week! Crazy. It started for me with 2020.16.3, then 2020.20.5, now this.

Not complaining, especially since historically when looking at the TeslaFi site, I get them in the 3rd day “batch”.

Happy to even have a car that gets upgraded.

Why do you think this? According to teslafi there are plenty of cars moving to 2020.20.12 from 16.2 and other old versions. Also cars with HW2.5.
