Got our update notification about 45 minutes before leaving on a 12 hour road trip. Crossed fingers, downloaded it, and hopped in the car.
Seemed a bit smoother switching into autopilot (maybe relaxed their jerk to center of lane logic). Noticed autopilot had problems passing 3 vehicles that were fully in their lane (truck with ladders on top and side, semi flatbed with a tarp covering something small, and a very large dump truck). Nothing like the Tesla starting a high speed pass and then slamming on the brakes for no reason. Also had two unexplained wheel jerks where it indicated it avoided something for us...with nothing obvious causing it. This was all in the first few hours of driving then things seemed to settle down.
Was great at night in mad dash hour traffic in Atlanta smoothly sliding across 8 lanes of traffic. Btw, Atlantic station superchargers in Atlanta were not super...took 90 minutes to get around 100 miles of charge playing musical chairs with the chargers.
The next day we drove up to a casino in Murphy NC and were the only Tesla plugged into their 24 Tesla destination chargers. Decent 48 amp chargers. Leaving the casino we got the notice that autopilot cameras were unavailable. Oddly it let me enable autopilot anyway. Tried full reboot. No change. Just let it sit plugged into our mountain home 110 outlet all day today and hoping the problem self corrects.
Only other thing I’ve noticed is that it just now showed me that the car interior was 102. It’s 50s outside so checked and once I sat in the car and ac came on the temperature rapidly changed to 70s even though I had immediately turned off the ac. Hadn’t ever seen this problem before. Of course we are hours from a service center.
