but for me luckily, I picked mine on a service center and was able to get those missing parts

I agree, top of the line car and trim and missing? Not happy about it. But then again some manufacturers like Porsche you have to pay more for a car to have less (weight savings) so...

It's not just the parts savings- which absolutely adds up. Let's say it pulls $50 per car out in cost.. if they're gonna build 500k cars in 2020 that's 25 million bucks a year.
It's also the fact they don't have to incur added MFG complexity and cost by building different versions. They don't have to change anything on the line for the "premium" cars vs the regular ones, or back again.
See also the original non-premium interior they decided wasn't worth the manufacturing (or parts/supply chain) complexity to even use rather than just put the same seats/console/etc in every 3.
where did you find the pocket lights? I would really like to add those to my 2020 p3dOn Dec 31st I finally picked up my model 3 performance
differences I found so far:
no hooks
no pocket lights
no frunk mat
no dead pedal
but I'm gonna retrofit those parts

Hooks are no big deal - $2 and mobile tech installed no charge.

Color me floored that the removed the lights and worse, didn't change the panel mold (yeah $) to get rid of the hole in there. Sigh

That is bizarre, I realize the price has come down somewhat but this whole concept of removing little luxuries from their higher priced vehicles (S and X as well) seems odd, at least allow for the option via some sort of package IMHO.
re-rated for 299 miles. Which isn't a changed just the EPA finally tested them separately. For 2020, All Tesla Model 3 Versions Get New EPA Ratings

Not entirely. My car is a Sep '19 build, and I have the PWS, I do have the Frunk clips, and all the lights. I did not get frunk/trunk mats. I did get the J1772 adapter and a NEMA 5-15 mobile charger. I did not get USB cables for the phone mount at first, but I asked and my delivery dude snuck me a trio- USB-C, Micro-USB, and whatever Apple called their iDevice cables back then, gratis.
