That's concerning as my M3 was supposed to be on the RCC Asia and am scheduled to pickup in Southampton next Tuesday!

I’m supposed to collect on the 14th @ Birmingham, was tracking the RCC Asia for the last couple of weeks. Gutted i will now be waiting even longer :(

I could be wrong - the good news is that RCC ASIA is parking in the correct part of Southampton docks to unload Teslas.
We shall see....

The HOEGH TOKYO is currently in Newark and is due to depart tomorrow and arrive in Southampton on 12 Sep. I wouldn't bet any money that this has any Teslas onboard though - not yet anyway. This is part of a scheduled service and the stay in New York is much too short to load 1000's of Teslas. Additionally the ship is not going to Zeebrugge either.

RCC AFRICA is just departing Newark heading for Baltimore - it's not our ship.
The search continues.....

I note the TARAGO is due to arrive in Newark tomorrow and will be in Zeebrugge on 25 Sep but there is too much unaccounted-for time beween the dates - I don't think this will be our ship either....

My ship finder app says RCC ASIA is in Antwerp? I saw this going past Fawley yesterday whilst at Royal Victoria Country Park so thought I'd take a look at the thread to see if it was Tesla related, but it's ASIAN TRUST according to ship finder. Am I or ship finder confused? The former is certainly possible :)

If you are waiting for MODEL S or Model X

Although Model S and Model X are made in the same factory as the Model 3 their delivery journey to you is markedly different.

Both Model S and X are shipped partly assembled in containers (3 to a container).

They are moved by road from the factory to the Oakland Joint Intermodal Terminal where they are loaded on to a train.

The train then takes about 9 days to travel to Houston. (actually BNSF Pearland).

The containers are then moved by road to the dock at Barbers Cut where they are then loaded on to a scheduled container ship that eventually arrives 15 days later in Rotterdam (Note: Although the ships have a scheduled stop in Antwerp your containers are unloaded in Rotterdam).

There the containers are moved by road (or barge) to Tilburg in Holland. Your car is removed from the container and then joins a mini production line where it is reassembled. It is then moved to Zeebrugge and shipped to Southampton.

As can be seen, all this takes time.

Finding your car in this complex logistics chain is difficult but there is a man who can. @Vedaprime is the specialist in this area. You can find him here but he normally resides on Twitter.

Ships for possible Model S and Model X shipments are:

MAERSK MONTANA arrived Rotterdam 3 Aug
MAERSK IOWA arrived Rotterdam 10 Aug
MAERSKA IDAHO arrived Rotterdam 17 Aug
MAERSK NIJMEGAN arrived Rotterdam 22 Aug
MAERSK OHIO arrived Rotterdam 24 Aug
SAFMARINE MAFADI arrived Rotterdam 31 Aug
MAERSK MONTANA Dep Houston 23 Aug Arr Rotterdam 7 Sep
MAERSK IOWA Dep Houston 30 Aug Arr Rotterdam 14 Sep
MAERSK IDAHO Dep Houston 6 Sep Arr Rotterdam 21 Sep
MAERSK OHIO Dep Houston 14 Sep Arr Rotterdam 28 Sep
Do you have a similar lists for Model 3?

Ah, I think I am confused, like I said easily done! You meant where RCC Asia is parking when it arrives in a couple of days didn’t you.

Sorry!

MODEL 3 SHIPMENTS - DAILY SUMMARY

RCC ASIA
has departed Zeebrugge having possibly fully unloaded. She is now in Antwerp on non-Tesla related business.
Although she is still due in to Southampton on Friday morning this likely to also be non-Tesla related. Having said that, she is parking in a part of the docks where we could expect Teslas to be unloaded.
There are two options:
1. She kept RHD Teslas onboard for unloading in Southampton on Friday or
2. The RHD cars are on the dock at Zeebrugge waiting for GLOVIS SIGMA.

GLOVIS SIGMA Yesterday, it took 14 hours for her to transit the Panama Canal - about twice as long as normal. She was held in Gatun Lake to allow a couple of large container ships, who pay much more, overtake her.
She decided to route into the Atlantic via the Mona Passage - surprisingly the first ship this quarter to choose this shorter route. Whilst the Zeebrugge port schedule led us to believe we were going to see a very fast transatlantic crossing, the ship’s AIS is showing a more realistic ETA for Zeebrugge of the night of 12 Sep. A steady 16kts should achieve the aim. Accordingly I have adjusted my estimate for Southampton to 14 Sep at the earliest.

GLOVIS CLIPPER She continues her high speed dash down the Pacific coast with the aim of arriving at the Panama Canal entrance tomorrow night. She is due to arrive in Zeebrugge on 16 Sep. She is not due to depart until 14:00 on 17 Sep and so if she is coming to Southampton it will be on 18 Sep.

Don’t forget to enter the GLOVIS CLIPPER competition!

No more ships are likely to load at Pier 80 until October.

All is not lost as it looks very likely that Tesla have sent a shipment by rail to Newark (New York) for shipment to Europe from there.
Alas, RCC AFRICA which was looking hopeful, departed to Baltimore a couple of hours ago and so she is no longer on the list of suspects.
I’ll keep monitoring…

Fingers crossed- I was told my Tesla is en route’ from the factory which might be Newark?

Hi,

This might not help, but have called again (yes I know they love me !) have been told it's recently left Newark and heading for Zeebrugge delivery around 24-30th.. This might or might not help... He couldn't give me a ship name, nor when it left Newark or when it arrives at Zeebrugge.

Well that's a puzzle.
It's an 8 day sea journey from New York and so that would imply an indirect routing, which I am sure Tesla would not want.

RCC Asia seems like a puzzle too.

I'm booked in for delivery next week (9th was the earliest day), and was suspecting the car was aboard RCC Asia, but never confirmed.

Now I'm not sure at all! GLOVIS SIGMA would be too late. One possibility is the car has already arrived on an earlier ship...

I'm in the same boat (!). I am supposed to be picking my M3 on the 12 Sept (I could have got it from the 9th) so unless it is already in country, this seems unlikely. I would have thought Tesla would have notified me if things had changed but who knows! Fingers crossed and wait and see I guess.

I have been told my M3 LR is there and will arrive in Southampton by the 19th Sept, I ordered a midnight silver .

We may be able to see ship departure and expected arrival looking in the sourcecode of the inventory cars at tesla.com

Looks like I can read out following information example:
"VehicleType":"INVENTORY","VesselDepartureDate":"2020-08-24T17:20:41.258389","VrlName":"Drammen Logistics-HUB"
"ExpectedVesselArrivalDate":"2020-09-13T00:00:00"

This is how it is for the car I ordered from inventory where it tells me the car is in transit. I have ordered M3 LR AWD.

Tesla customer service told me that the car is on boat on its way to Europe Netherlands... And I can expect to get it 5 october in Drammen Norway latest, or maybe late in september.

But it seems like the date in the quote above is the same as GLOVIS SIGMA.

I made an youtube video who explain how I got these details... But maybe all knows about this already :)

Same here. Supposed to collect on the 9th and hoping the car is already here. Tesla should know if it has. Might call and ask.
