RCC ANTWERP continues to progress across the Atlantic albeit a little slower.
At 1148 Z her position was N41.2 W36.6 which is about 250nm NNW of the Azores.
I calculate that has 1734nm to go to Zeebrugge (I do not rely on apps etc for this calculation) and to arrive on schedule she needs to maintain at least 18kts. She is currently battling a 30kt headwind and a large swell which has impacted her progress. Over the last 24 hours she has averaged 16.6kts.
This can easily be made up over the next few days as there is no significant weather to affect her.
ETA Zeebrugge remains 10 Nov and Southampton 13 Nov

TRITON ACE At midday Z her position was N9.6 W86.0 which is about 30nm off the coast of Costa Rica.
She’s on schedule to arrive off Panama tomorrow evening.
I will post more on the Panama Canal and what we can expect to see tomorrow afternoon.
She will arrive in Zeebrugge on 20 Nov and Southampton on 22 Nov

GRAND AURORA is making steady progress towards the Panama Canal. Since leaving Pier 80 she has travelled 721nm.
At midday Z she was 40nm off the Baja California coast at N27.3 W115.6 and maintaining just under 17kts.
She is on schedule to arrive at the Panama Canal on 12 Nov and the weather conditions are looking good for her voyage

We now have a GRAND AURORA competition running too - Enter HERE

TOSCANA should now be approaching the southern tip of Sri Lanka and I expect her to appear on the various ship tracking sites this afternoon. The weather in her area continues to look fine and I’m not anticipating any significant weather for her crossing of the Arabian Sea.
She will arrive in Zeebrugge on 27 Nov

TANNHAUSER has departed on schedule from Shanghai. She will arrive at Suez on 25 Nov and Zeebrugge of 6 Dec.
The other good news is that Tropical Storm Atsani has not only failed to develop into a typhoon but is in fact showing signs of decaying rapidly. It is currently located south of Taiwan and is projected to drift into the South China Sea at the weekend. I don’t think it will pose much of a threat to TANNHAUSER if the trend continues.

GLOVIS SUMMIT is the next ship to load at Pier 80. She will arrive tomorrow night.
I have yet to determine her destination but I have seen no indications so far that she will be coming to Europe.

Are there any kinds of cameras at the Panema Canal see the ships go through?

Is there any information what's on the RCC Antwerp? Is it only 2021 models or are there still some 2020 models on there?

I am almost certain now from what I have seen that they are all 2021 in all flavours (my SR+ is on there), I guess there are some LHDs which will be unloaded in a shortish stop in Zeebrugge but the majority for RHDs for U.K.. as Europe has LHDs coming from China also.

I wouldn't say they are "all" 2021 flavours. There are a good chunk of 2020 on inventory listed as "in transit". And if the vessel arrival date is to be believed, 11-11-2020 puts them on the Antwerp. Being the first ship over I'd say there's a chunk of "old" 2020 stock which they are struggling to get shifted due to the 2021 trim coming out.

Good afternoon, everybody. Long time lurker and new member from Norway here.

First of all, thank you to Mr Miserable for all this loads of information!

Then som information about me:
I ordered a white Tesla Model 3 Long Range with towbar in the color Pearl White 27th of September, and yesterday a Tesla sales representative told me that my car is onboard Triton Ace, and she also gave me my VIN.

But, I was also informed that no cars will be delivered in Norway in november, all the cars will be delivered in December due to "lockdown and delayed ships". I could expect my car to belivered in week 51, she told me. I find this quite strange as Triton Ace is pencilled to arrive in Zeebrugge 20th of November, can it really be almost 1 month in transit from Zeebrugge to Drammen, Norway?

My second question is maybe strange, but I noticed that all the ships are referred to as females, can you please tell me why? :)

Thanks again for all the updates and info!

Cars for Norway are now sent by rail from Zeebrugge to Drammen.
Once RCC ANTWERP arrives in Zeebrugge you need to watch the webcams of Drammen docks because about 7-10 days later the docks will start filling with hundreds of cars.
The cameras to pay special attention to is Holmen Syd where the cars seem to get parked and Kattegatkaia where the trains get unloaded.

Ships are female because they are expensive to keep, need a lot of paint and attract a lot of men.

If you are waiting for MODEL S or Model X

Although Model S and Model X are made in the same US factory as the Model 3 their delivery journey to you is markedly different.
Both Model S and X are shipped partly assembled in containers (3 to a container).
They are moved by road from Fremont to the Oakland Joint Intermodal Terminal where they are loaded on to a train.
The train then takes about 9 bone-rattling days to travel to Houston. (actually BNSF Pearland).

screenshot-2020-03-08-at-23-32-59-png.580023

The containers are then moved by road to the dock at Barbers Cut (webcams) where they are then loaded on to a scheduled container ship that eventually arrives 15 days later in Rotterdam (Note: Although the ships have a scheduled stop in Antwerp your containers are unloaded in Rotterdam).

The current shipping schedules show: Dep Houston Arr Rotterdam

MAERSK OHIO 19/10 - 2/11

SAFMARINE MAFADI 25/10 - 9/11

MAERSK MONTANA 1/11 - 16/11

MAERSK HARTFORD 7/11 - 23/11

MAERSK IDAHO 15/11 - 30/11

MAERSK OHIO 22/11 - 7/12

SAFMARINE MAFADI 30/11 - 14/12

From Rotterdam the containers are moved by road (or barge) to Tilburg in Holland. Your car is removed from the container and then joins a mini production line where it is reassembled. It is then moved to Zeebrugge and shipped to Southampton.

As can be seen, all this takes time.

Finding your car in this complex logistics chain is difficult but there is a man who can. @Vedaprime is the specialist in this area. You can find him here but he normally resides on Twitter.

Haha, that was a funny and interesting answer about why the ships are female :D

Thanks a lot!

I have been informed by Tesla that my m3sr+ will be delivered at the Koopman terminal in December. This suggests a ship wil be coming to Amsterdam
Very unlikely to have a ship to Amsterdam. It happened last December but that was because of the tax change and the entire shipload was for the Dutch market.
Since then all Model 3's for NL have come via Zeebrugge to Koopman's in Westpoort(not by sea)
It's not unusual, Norway has their cars delivered from Zeebrugge to the docks at Drammen by rail.

I do have data regarding Model Year as I have the container vins

For Model S/X - almost all are 2021 - 99.9%. It looks like a couple of 2020 are onboard . These would be ones requiring rework at Fremont prior to October.

For Model 3 right hand drive from Fremont - I have hundreds of vins across Australia/New Zealand and some for Hong Kong. 99.9% are 2021 models. These get built all close together for right hand drive LR/P Europe so I would expect the same is happening for the right hand drive SFO Roro Tesla.
