I did. The offer is 55600. Considering I bought the truck 1 month ago. Would be hard to lose that much on the Y

That trade value is all the money for a 2020.
Tesla has numerous demo cars avail for up to 9% off msrp online. Once the 2021.5 releases here w new door panels and heated steering wheels values are going to go down even further. My advise would be to take the offer. It’s called the iPhone effect.

Either way, I tend to agree with @ADAMBOMB that $56k is a good price. The elimination of any headache/coordination factor that comes along with two separate transactions is nice as well.

FYI, I bought a demo from tesla in November identical to this for $58,900 (less miles). I would take the trade in offer, especially if it helps on taxes (not sure how your state works...)

It’s 10.25% here in lovely Cook County....when I bought my first Model S, the full $7500 federal tax credit didn’t even cover the amount I paid in sales tax!

Well, starting 2019 they came out with a tax on new car purchase. 0.25 of a percent so not too bad but i did pay like $280 of tax.

just to order the Y Performance my price tag was 61,990 that's not including the 1,125 Destination fee, $75 documentation fee $100 order fee. the Total 63,290.00 not including my registration $848.50 plus 284.16 for Vehicle Privilege Tax.

Tesla sells show room models for discount, they typically have <5k miles. You can easily get a Model Y Performance with FSD for $62-65k. So it’s really like you’re getting it for 52-55k and comes with 1 additional year of warranty.
