2021.35.103 version later than 2021.36?

I took delivery of my M3 LR on 11/20 and it came with software version 2021.35.103 (10.2).

I can't find anything about it online. On the software screen, it shows it newer than 2021.36.

Any one have insight as to how the versioning works? If it was a later rev than 2021.36, one would think it would be 2021.36.xxx?

Haven’t seen that before. The version you have now sounds like one of builds that only come in new cars. You should get an update at some point.

And likely will have that version somewhere between 1 day and 5-6 weeks more (and no I am not joking, could be tomorrow, could be 6 weeks from now, or any time in between with no real rhyme or reason).

I got mine on 11/20/21 on version 2021.35.102.2 I see release notes on version of past major releases. Guess this is factory safe versions. I saw tesla software version breakdown by numbers so its year.. and week. then its updated versions. so 2021. 35.102.2 is year 2021, week 35 102 revisions and fixes to that revision. I dont think I saw anything in "102" before so week 35 of 2021 should be pretty solid with all those updates. I saw something about week 36... which is one week later out ton all the beta testing for FSD with week 40 on the horizon. But we are pretty much on par with latest and most stable which im assuming is what Tesla wants. I notice they run a few months behind with what week were on vs what software is on most cars. Makes sense, Tesla doesn't want to push stuff out took quick incase of any issues. I imagine they are working hard on getting 11.0 out which is why 10.3 10.4 and and 10.5 are rolling out so quick. Get 11.0 ready and its the insane upgrade they have been promising for years.

Newly delivered cars sit on a "factory firmware" for about a month and then you'll start receiving updates. There is nothing you can do to speed up this process unfortunately (I tried it all heh).

Oh that stinks....I paid for FSD subscription and optin to beta thinking it would just be a few days to get back into beta (my old car that I sold, I was already in the beta). Now I will have to do safety score driving for another 2 weeks (picked up car 11/23)...
