2021.4.18.10 Sentry Mode Fix For Non Radar Cars Out!

So apparently this is the fix for the broken sentry mode issue for non radar's from May '21 to current day.

Nice. I took delivery on June 16th with 2021.4.18.2 and this will be my first update! Going on a 715 mile each way road trip this weekend so hopefully some things to look forward to.

I find Kevin Smith does some pretty good testing on this sort of stuff and his quick initial look shows sentry mode still broken on 2021.4.18.10.

Will be good to hear from some others.

Yep, it’s now 80. Not perfect but a step in the right direction! Biggest thing for me is being able to turn off auto high beams with AP.

OK guys so I got it working - after confirming it was set to ON in the car, I double checked the app and for some reason
it was toggled to OFF. I turned it on in the app and voila - it works!

So if yours doesn't work after the update, make sure Sentry is turned on both in the car and the app.

M3P Ordered 4/27 delivered 6/19. I am not sure where to find the actual build date. Is sentry mode only supposed to be the front dashcam? The car is in my garage with sentry enabled. it is picking up the movement in the front but not with the side cameras when people walk by or the rear camera. What cameras are actually supposed to be activated

Make sure you have a decent WiFi connection wherever you are parking. Also try putting in a ticket sometimes they can manually kick out an update especially if you are that far behind.

Yeah, there's actually an Orbi satellite in my garage so connectivity isn't an issue.

I'm used to it though. I remember when I first got my Model S back in 2016 I'd try all the "tips" to force an update (like force restarting the MCU). Nothing ever worked. Just had to be patient.

I enabled "Advanced" under the software release option. It indicated that it was people who wanted to be first in the guinea pig line

Yeah, I've chosen that option as well. I need to find the "Super Advanced" button

My Model 3 (with radar) hasn't gotten the update. They might be prioritizing the non-radar cars. Mothership... FEED ME! I want my sentry working again.

I took delivery yesterday, and had my first software update 2021.4.18.10 today. Nice to have 80 mph capability since speed limit here is 75

I can confirm Sentry mode seems to be working now. I never picked up events at work and today it picked up 2!
