Weird as I was on .1 before that.

I don't think it works that way. The original 2021.4 branch is from January, but the point releases are probably much more recent. Based on what I've seen, Tesla doesn't create a new branch until they make significant changes. This isn't the first time we haven't seen major updates for months at a time.

I think this is in response to the recent AP drivers seat weight issue. its Been suggested there is code now for AP to disengage when it senses weight out of the seat. That would be great IMO. someone just needs to safely try this to check. I don’t have it yet or I would have already

Well as soon as I posted this I see on Twitter that as of yet it still does NOT disengage AP with weight out of seat. Looks like the code is there for it but possibly not yet implemented.

Also agreed, what I’m saying is it’s pretty unprecedented to have no “significant changes” in nearly 5 months. We should be at 2021.20something by now.

Likely going to stay on a 2021.4 branch until the new refreshed S/X actually get sold to real customers. That way Tesla keeps their firmware secrets hidden for as long as possible from the likes of @verygreen

I don't expect any significant releases until they start delivering the updated S and X. My guess is there will be a big update at that time for AP and the UI.

My joystick has stopped working since version 2021.4.17. Does it happen to anyone else?

I've successfully have been using an XBOX Series X controller by plugging it into the USB port. No issues with 2021.4.17 and now 2021.4.18.
