My android app updated today. In the upgrade area, the software section, there is now a "Cold Weather feature" upgrade. It shows the rear heated seats, but the description says "Includes Heated Steering wheel" for $300. Mine is a SR+ that I picked up Oct 2021.

Oops, just bought it after typing the above, tried it and it works. The controls are listed in the climate control panel. Didn't care much about the heated rear seat, but wanted the heated steering wheel.

Which conclusively proves that all Model 3s have been shipping with the heated steering wheel since around the start of the year, just software locked.

Lol. my app doesn't show the wheel OR the rear seats.
Everything works properly in the car though, tested it this morning.

Mine was built in October 2021 and got the option to buy rear heated seats AND heated steering wheel. Bought it and only rear heated seats have been activated on the app. Still cannot give the command for heated steering wheel in the car.

I'm all set now. I went in the car and turned on the heated wheel and the icon was then visible in the app.

If you go to 'upgrades' in the app, look closely at the 'cold weather feature', it doesn't show the heated steering wheel option, but it does say that the heated steering wheel is included if you buy the heated seats.

I bought it this morning and its working fine inside the car, I can turn on/off the rear seats and steering wheel.
But my app hasn't updated to control/show the rear seats and wheel yet.

Got mine activated today. Purchased the rear heated seats in September when I took delivery. August build date. Tested it and it works.

Same here. There is a bug in the V4.3 Android app that prevents the heated steering wheel to appear in the app. Hopefully it will be fixed soon, but just so you know, turning on Defrost also turns on the heater in the steering wheel so not all is lost.

Got my M3SR+ in Feb 2021, has the right wheel and all, but all I see is heated rear seats option... Granted the price dropped, but no mention of the steering wheel - arghhhhh

Saw an article that has this quote about the steering heating hardware (look at the update from April 28 2021):

Model 3 Standard Range Plus trims built after January 31, 2021 will be able to enable this feature through the "Upgrades" section...
