Nice! Well done! Can you also ask what battery it has (capacity, type(E3D/E5D))?

Im moving on from the heated wheel for now. I was all in on it being there for us 2021's from Dec and Jan, but... I think its a lost cause now.

Hopefully there is a retro fit, as Ill def buy it if so.

Good idea, let's move on to something a bit sexier: the lousy range I'm getting from my '21 M3P!

On this site, people have heated discussions whether they're going to get another extra mile from some new high-fangled batteries, while I'm having a hard time to see even 200 miles, driving at 75mph on the freeway!

I'm not into hyper-miling, just peace of mind getting back home, after I charged to 89% and assumed I could drive that distance without sweating...But, on the way back, at 30% I see a yellow warning to slow down, or I'll run out of juice, and won't make it home.

What a bunch of self-perpetuating myths Tesla owners tell themselves and their envious ICE friends! 315 miles? Bullshit.
At minimum, winter driving seems to cut range quite severely. I hope for more once the weather changes, but so far, not so good.

Where did you see any Tesla owners say you would get anywhere near EPA range driving at 75mph especially in the winter and using performance wheels and tires? I thought it was common knowledge you take a huge cut in range for highway use (mentioned in many threads here).
Seriously, look at the EPA test cycles. The average speed of even the fastest US06 cycle is only 48.37 mph.

The way to get close to EPA is in mixed driving or at significantly slower speeds closer to the actual test cycle.

I get around 300 on a 100% charge right now... in the winter... in 30 degree Rhode Island on my LR. Try driving at 70 or 65 and see if there’s a huge difference.

Wait. Did this just turn into another range discussion?

I guess there is no need for a heated wheel, ya know cuz I’ll need to charge every 15 miles.

I’m still optimistic about all 2021 models with the new steering wheel having the heated one. The new SR models do not have an option currently either so I’m sure once Tesla figures out the pricing it will be rolled out.

I hope at the bare minimum its an option to upgrade. This morning I went out just to pick up some coffee. I'm sitting there in the drive-thru thinking these seat warmers are really nice, feels like I'm in a nice warm glove (never had a car with heated seats before). Then I thought a heated steering wheel would complete this experience .

I did ask about the battery, but the delivery guy didn't have a clue. Sorry!

Anyway, picked up the car and drove it straight over to have protective film put over the front half of the car. Will pick it up tonight and then I can play with it :) Looking forward to the weekend.

Actually looks amazing though LOL Would match my ambient lighting perfectly!

Front and back in blue. I added the back as its not stock, but works with the stock perfectly!

My M3 has the heated steering wheel and my software is still on 2020.39.111. I don’t even have the new interface but I have the steering wheel icon on the climate screen.

I havent heard of any 2021 Model 3's with a pubic firmware and the heated wheel active as of yet. Just gives us more hope for our Dec/Jan M3s!

Took delivery on 2/24 of my M3 LR and it has the heated wheel. It came with 2020.39.111. This afternoon, I got a notification that the newest available was 2021.4.10.1. After upgrading, just minutes ago, I can confirm the heated wheel still shows up under the heating options. I cannot speak for cars who never showed the heated wheel, but I can confirm those who had it come enabled with the car can safely upgrade.

This is definitely not true. Just read a little bit above.

There are people who have the heated steering wheel on versions 2021.4.10 and 2021.4.10.1, both of which are public.

Which 2021 build did they start adding heated steering wheels?
I am assuming they did not start that way.
