2021 Model 3 and differences from 2020

So as it turns out, the 3 is getting a new center console, darker headliner, electric trunk, black exterior trim, and double pane windows! I did here rumors of this but wasn’t thinking it would be this soon

A heat pump, acoustic glass, power trunk lid, new upholstery, and new center console are about as “refresh” as Tesla has ever done.

If this all comes to pass I’ll be a little envious. The two things I don’t like about my car are wind noise and heater consumption.

“Coming off the line now” is a pretty strong statement. If true we’ll see the cars showroom and today is the first day after the end of Q3 that cars are no longer eligible to return for a refund. Clever.

Glad I elected to push back delivery until later this quarter! Anyone know how long it takes for a car to get from rolling off production to delivery? I guess that’s when we will really know.

Double pane glass would be a welcome addition to the fleet. Odd they are starting that change with the 3 but good because I’m hoping to be able to retrofit to my Y.

This is very similar to the Model S refresh in early 2016, where the S was updated to include a number of features, enhancements, and updated components that were first included in the X.

Now we're doing the same thing with 3/Y.

It looks like we will see all the missing features from model Y in the newly refreshed model 3 very soon!
I would really like to know how soon they are going to roll out the refreshed version, because I was about to place my order tonight
