2021 Model 3P steering wheel design question

I have a 2021 M3P and have a question about the steering wheel. Mine is smooth all around the rim with no circumferential seams and I thought it looked weird so I had Googled it last year. What I think I found was that the older design had the 2 seams at the top prior to 2021. I just now looked at the Tesla website for kicks and the steering wheel shows the seams. I am pretty certain the website picture did not show a seam last year when I was shopping for my car. To those with a 2021 M3P, do you have the circumferential seams at the top?

This obvs isn't a life or death question, it's more to confirm that I am not crazy. I do have an older spare wheel with the top seams, and it also looks and feels a lot like leather. I was going to swap it out (and change the scroll wheels).

I'm 98% sure my 2022 model 3 doesn't have those seems.

Weren't the model 3 wheels real leather at one point? I wonder if that's the difference

Post leather wheel and pre-refresh had the fake leather with stitching seams on the top. Source: have it.

i think it was mid 2019 or so? I cant actually remember if i have a vegan steering wheel or not. it feels synthetic to me...
