For eight days (starting on August 20th), our EDD has been holding steady at September 01 - September 04. We have not yet heard anything from Tesla via e-mail or phone about the delivery specifics.

I was just down the street from the local Tesla store this afternoon, so I thought I’d swing by to see if there were any signs that we will actually get our car next week. We saw three Plaids (2 black, 1 red with black interiors and 21” wheels), and a twin of the LR that we are awaiting (MSM / Black, 19” Wheels). The VIN on the LR (…439XXX) was about 1,060 lower than ours, which suggests the Model S production rate has picked up significantly.
Stopped by my SC on Saturday afternoon. They had a White/Cream 19 LR fresh off the truck and I got pretty excited. Sadly, the VIN was literally 15 off from mine. I went in and inquired. They said mine is on a train in a railyard in Chicago. They expect to get it on a truck and be in St Louis today or tomorrow, and that I can take delivery this week. Thinking yours is on the same train. Good luck!

I too am waiting for this exact config... ordered 12/24/20 however, with 11/3-11/23/21 delivery (why so late??). Question how did the White/Cream/19 look?

So delivery date has now moved from Spet-5-7 to September 1-7, same VIN still. I guess this is good news even though the date widened, but I am going to assume it has something to do with labor day weekend. Still haven't heard from anyone at our SC. Paid for the car by wire didn't get the $2000 pre-refresh but will deal with that on delivery day I guess or start emailing Tesla now about it. Anyone got any good emails that might help me resolve this? Thanks.

FWIW, I called Tesla yesterday proactively and set up my delivery date & time. I had to wait on hold for 27 minutes, but they were helpful. Call this number and follow the prompts for new car delivery/sales: 1 (888) 518-3752.
Can you give more specific info on this?

Did you already have a VIN? Did you simply ask them for a specific date within the range you had been given (if you had been given a date range)? How did you get them to guarantee a date, and were you able to get it delivered to the Tesla center you wanted?

You'll love this. Reached out to my SA that I have been talking to since January...he is gone. Called the local service center and was told my car is built and on a train to Chicago. It will be trucked from Chicago to St Louis on Tuesday August 31 and we set up a tentative delivery for Thursday September 2 directly to my house. Very exciting. Confirmed my $2,000 credit as well. Then I refreshed my account and it says my delivery is scheduled for this morning at 10:00am (2 hours ago...WTF) at the service center??? More to come.
I'm worried something like this is going to happen to me also, but I havent had any communication with our sales center after confirming refresh order, can't get anyone to call me back no matter how hard I try.....

You should call. They can tell you if the car is on the train or elsewhere. Then takes less than an hour for them to get the $2000 fixed on your account. Try 878-332-6091 - select new car delivery and usually get to speak to a live person.

I got a VIN a couple weeks ago, and my EDD was 9/2 - 9/4. On Friday, 8/26, my EDD was moved up to 8/29 - 9/2. After calling into 1 (888) 518-3752 a couple times (each time I was on hold for at least 20-30 minutes), I finally reached someone this morning who was able to confirm my vehicle has arrived at a local railway hub and is scheduled to be put on a truck to be delivered to my local Tesla center today. From there, they need a couple of days to prep the car, but I should expect to receive a call back from him today to schedule my appointment.

So a VIN was needed. Good to know. I suppose it would be pretty much impossible for them to do it without an actual VIN.

FINALLY! TESLA did a home delivery this morning at 11:30. Quick and smooth. Love it. Night and day difference from my 2017 MS75D

Ok I called and finally got to speak to someone, it was a strange feeling speaking to a Tesla Rep.... Probably cause in 9 months this was only the 2nd time that has happened. So I was told (not sure the accuracy). Car will arrive at our sales center on the 2nd in the evening after service closes then needs to be inspected (from what I've read it seems like that should take them a whole 2 minutes flat and it's on us the customer to do the real inspection) so to expect delivery before the long weekend.... And that is what the Tesla monkey has decided that my fate shall be for now, till the monkey changes it's mind. Also on the $2000 we should expect a refund but when and how the monkey did not know.

I had a VIN, and asked him when he thought it would be delivered to my SC and then set up a delivery time for 48 after it was expected at the SC (he said that's how long they usually need for prep work).
