They are super easy to work with. I sold mine to them. When I dropped it off, I got a check for the equity. The balance was paid off in 3 days and the bank confirmed $0.00 balance.
Mine was M3 SR+ with 2600 miles, so they didn’t give me a range. Initially they quoted what Carvana quoted you, I countered and they accepted.
I picked up my M3 9/18 and sold on 11/20.
They bank with Bank of America.

Feel free to ask me if you have any specific questions.
awesome thanks! I am waiting to see what Tesla offers me on the trade in and its tax benefits. If not then I'm going to 100% finance with DCU and sell the M3 to GMTV.

Tentative scheduled to pick up the car on Saturday!

I did not know that! With the rapid pace of change in the EV market, it seems really unlikely I'll keep my new MSLR long enough to need an extended warranty, so no biggie to me. I don't think Tesla really liked selling the warranties anyway, so it doesn't surprise me they have now stopped. There are definitely other warranty companies that still offer them, though.
Yes, you are quite correct that Tesla HATED the ESA/extended warranty.

Another example: one could ONLY purchase it, in person, at a Service Center. Really, Tesla, could you make it any more obvious?

The issue: What hugely negative message does Tesla, the MANUFACTURER, who arguably knows their product best, broadcast when it refuses to warranty their cars, AT ANY PRICE, beyond 50k miles and 4 years, with the exception of the motor and battery (8 years there)?

This is embarrassing for Tesla; I am tempted to write the Corporate Secretary (as the Board's gate keeper) to have Tesla reverse this recent, secret, decision to stop offering the ESA.

Really pathetic and I fail to see how this advances the mission in any way.

OK now im scrambling to figure things out lol. Its literally there ready for pick up. Im on phone with DCU now to see about financing options (Got approved for up to 100%).

I also have the Model 3 i got a couple months ago and got a Vroom quote for $45,000, a Carvana for $43K, I paid $45,700 back in September. I'm going to sell it or trade it in. My wife says keeping 3 Teslas (S,3,Y) would be more a chore than anything since its just the two of us that drive and the 3 would sit in the garage...

The conundrum is i have is do i finance the whole thing, part of it, or pay it cash. And I would have to wait 2-3 business days for a check from Vroom.

I'm about to call Tesla since my non responsive SA didnt call me back. To see what they would give me for the 3 on trade in.

My finance friends would tell me to invest the money and just finance the whole thing at that rate, i just hate having car payments :/

What do you guys think?
I'm in the same situation as you. Was planning to pay cash but tempted to finance at these great rates and invest the money I had set aside or else use it for cash flow in my business. I also hate loans. Don't have any right now. Haven't had a mortgage payment for 10 years or a car payment for 3 years. But then I put some money into a market account last February and I am currently up about 25%.

I have my VIN and my Tesla should arrive in about a week. I sold my last daily driver to Carmax a month ago. So this morning I applied at DCU and USAA. Both were approved for full price at less than 2%.

I'll probably sign with DCU this week. Just not sure where I am going to invest the extra funds. 😂 First world problems.

Two updates in a day!!! EDD #15 received late this afternoon - pulled in to 12/9-13!!!

Found my VIN in the page source code!!! This is getting real, finally.... 😆
Didnt I say this is the week? Delivery day today. Gaps on trunk, all interior intact, few chips, and some over spray. Not the smoothest delivery due to outside finance from bofa. Wait time to get a bofa rep to fund was nearly 3 hours.

EDIT: Sorry, I'm not sure why my photos are embedded in the post and not as attachments. New to the forums.

Ordered a MS LR MSM w/ 21” arachnids at a Tesla store in mid-November, got really lucky and took delivery today NF46 VIN.

The guys at the Tesla location in Toronto was phenomenal, parked the car inside and let me poke around for 1.5 hours.

No major issues, a 1/2 inch paint blemish on driver rear side panel above left turn lights (pic for reference) and a 2-3 thin scratches that are 2-3mm in length. Got an appointment at the tesla authorized body shop tomorrow to get it fixed over weekend (hopefully). No missing parts, etc. Put 80km on it today, no vibrations or rattling so far.

Got winter tires installed, windows tinted (garage pic shows the after). Off for ppf and ceramic once the body shop is done; hopefully all in time for Xmas.

How was it driving with the summer tires in this weather and what winter tires did you end up getting? I’m in a similar situation and will need to get my winters installed ASAP after delivery, although I asked my SA and he mentioned that they are installing all seasons on some MYP models right now, so I could be getting all seasons with my 21s.

Just drive really slow... today was apparently the worst day of the week to take delivery as we had snow and it was below freezing. The summers were noticeably "skipping" on sharper turns, but was bearable going straight and stopping. Learning to drive a Tesla and yolk for the first time was probably worse. Luckily my tire shop was <10KM away and had the winters lined up.

I haven't heard of Tesla considering offering all seasons in Canada, my SA said they'll be coming in the Michelin Pilot Sports for foreseeable future.

Thanks! I’m not overly concerned because the shop thats going to install my winters is about 2KM from the Tesla SC and I’ll try to have the appointment set up so I can go straight after picking it up. But yeah, it’s my first Tesla too, so lots of different variables at play. Hope you’re enjoying your car!

Thanks for the update. I did not know that Tesla had hidden and then stopped offering the ESA warranty... glad I purchased mine! ;)

From what I've seen on this site, Tesla gives you the lowest value on any trade in. Carmax, Vroom, etc are better options.

So I'm now 2 days out from my EDD, still sitting on a 3 week window with no VIN (and nothing in the source code).

What's typical for folks in this position? Do I need to see a date shrink to 10 days, and/or a VIN in the source code, before I officially get a VIN? Or could it just pop up?

I'm unlikely to get a reject / inventory car, as there are very few Model S being sold in my area, so the likelihood of someone rejecting my exact config during the timeframe is low. I therefore expect the "typical" delivery experience, where my car will roll out of Freemont and be loaded on truck / train to my location.

I am a RN1153 and ordered 4 days before you. Just received my VIN yesterday. Mine went from a 30 day window down to a 14 and then a 10 day window. Yesterday I woke up to a 3 day window and no VIN, but could find it in the source code. A couple of hours later, I had an official VIN for EDD 12/21 -12/24. Santa Musk is on his way, maybe yours is right around the corner! Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

Welp, just bumped to another long (more than 3 week) window, Jan 15 - Feb 12. No VIN in the source code.

I’m hoping it’s the “bug” where your EDD jumps forward before a VIN assignment, but I’m pessimistic.

In any event, I’m pretty sure I’m cancelling the order if not delivered by 31 Dec, due to the new Canadian luxury tax that starts in 1 Jan. It was a fun six months dreaming of owning a Tesla, but it may be over…

Following many of us that had similar Dec dates that bumped into January-February also, RN1150 here. It probably could be realistic that you deliver in January-February. Keep an eye on what happens to RN1149-RN1150's here...

Yeah, that new tax sucks for you northern neighbors! I feel like EV's should be exempt for "climate change" or something. Either way, wish you luck!
