Just took delivery of my long awaited Plaid! It's beautiful and ridiculously fast, but I am tall and I find that the seating position is too high for me - the header is much lower than in my M3P and the mirror is right in my line of sight. I'm going back and forth, but I'm leaning towards keeping my M3P and waiting for an X Plaid (with the continuous windshield glass). Car currently has 48 miles on it, and it's parked inside in my garage.

My understanding is that white interiors are still very rare in Plaids.

How will it cost $10k more? You would be getting the car with tax included being an AZ resident so you’ll actually be saving $10k buying from OP vs getting it from Tesla and having to pay sales tax.

How will it cost $10k more? You would be getting the car with tax included being an AZ resident so you’ll actually be saving $10k buying from OP vs getting it from Tesla and having to pay sales tax.

Because I am not registering the car in AZ. Most states as you know, will require tax on top of the $142K. AZ is one of the very few that will not.

And please explain how I would be saving $10K even if I was registering the car in AZ? The MSRP on this car is $132K.

I believe it is important to state upfront in the OP that the seller is a grey dealer (aka scalper), and the story about being too tall for MS is a bit ... irrelevant. I also wonder why is the OP has site residence in NV and sells the car in TX.

By the way, YOU WILL pay sales tax on purchasing a used Tesla, but you may be able to avoid paying taxes if you sell your car in the same year. Edit: If the seller's car is still on a temporary tag, the sales tax has not been paid yet. Expect the price of this car to dive down before pretty soon (perhaps by January 1st).
