just traded my Model S Plaid in at this dealership. They gave me decent money for trade but if someone is looking, it’s a great car.

I put the following

-21” rims
-XPEL stealth
-Built in radar and jammer integrated in mirror
-FSD
-Xpel Ceramic tint on all glass (roof, windshield, and sides)

Overall almost had put 175 into the car.

I’m not affiliated with them, so if you have any questions, I would just reach out to them directly.

What did you trade it in for?
TBH, whet they got in trade is kind of an arbitrary number if you understand how dealerships work. They often will inflate the value of your trade against whatever profit they have in their car to make it seem like a better deal than it really is. It's all just a shell game w/numbers made intentionally convoluted but the net is a number few actually know in the end by design. To know what the real metrics are you'd need to know a lot more data to make an informed analysis oh what they actually "got" for the car.

Honestly it doesn’t matter because the thing is in Texas I got almost 7500 in tax credit so it helped.

I just think anyone looking will know this is a well maintained and super high sticker car with the extras. Totally worth it.

I’m not asking what the trade in value was, I’m asking what car he purchased. Sorry that wasn’t more clear.

I was in the car business for many, many years and understand what the customer thinks they received on trade value may be far off the actual $$$ they put on the car.

Beautiful car you gave up! What did you trade it in for? Just curious

This was really interesting until I saw it was an Escort 9500ci. While that unit was the top of its class when it came out (along with the sister Beltronics StIR), it only offers basic laser/LIDAR coverage these days as LIDAR technology has progressed a lot since then. The Ka band antenna is still "pretty good" but is only front-facing, so could miss some rear instant-on radar guns or scatter. It's still way better than nothing at all, but somewhat dated tech. I have one 9500ci and one Beltronics StIR system on my shelf that unfortunately I can't sell or salvage anymore since the newer tech is so much better for LIDAR and RADAR.

But the StIR did save my ass against one sneaky laser gun LEO about 4 years ago:
