Quirky datapoint update. Still scheduled for 12/2, called Tesla today to change financing a bit. I asked where my car was, and it was on the train to Birmingham. I asked when it was made, given the MF453 number, and they told me 11/15 was the build date. Seems some numbers are out-of-order in white interiorland. Perhaps my white vegan cow was dry aging. I'm fine with 2021 VIN but was a bit worried it was a few months old or a rejected car, but thankfully not the case. Given I have an LR, I have no idea how long the wait would be if I unmatched and my rear left tire on the trade in is barely holding on so 2021 is the year for me...

My MF454 was supposedly built on 11/15. I suspect our cars were released from purgatory on 11/15.

They do not make the cars in serial VIN order. Messes with the people trying to count car deliveries.

Well. Original poster here. Delivery day boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. She is perfect. Will adjust the trunk on my own, but honestly not worried about it right now. Frunk has a some slight misalignment and I might mention it to a mobile service tech one day, but I want to know what it takes to fix it before they are start screwing with it. Old issues that I do not see - no front windshield distortion, no dent in the front dash, no mirror wobble.

Came loaded with mostly all the parts - missing sub trunk cover and parcel shelf. Oddly, had the corner piece 🤷🏽‍♂️ Tesla said pretty much all are missing those and I did not put up a fight to try and them from a car that has been sitting there for weeks. Mine is going to sit in the garage for a week and then PPF, tint, ceramic for a week. So I will ping them when I get closer to picking up my car from the detailer and see if they have them so that I can swing by and grab them. At that point, I am going to be driving it daily and really want those.

Came the summer tires - south Texas, really do not care. I will monitor them in the winter, but I am not in a huge rush to replace them.

For now, the wait is over and I am elated to say the least. Wife is too, she told me she never wants to hear about TMC again. So I think you guys won in that battle

More photos to come post tint, PPF and ceramic.

Congratulations man and car looks awesome!

My EDD just went from Nov 22-28 to 23-27. I'm hoping that means it has arrived in Tampa, or is scheduled to tomorrow. Let the games begin! Hoping I get the option to schedule delivery soon!
dang, you still haven't been able to schedule delivery? i bet it pops up in the AM for scheduling. who knows though, i basically bombarded my SA with emails till he finally called me and said, fine, here's a delivery date lol

Just picked up my car today in Austin Texas at around 4:15pm. No one from Tesla was there, entirely done through the mobile app. Car is awesome!

Quite a few minor defects, such as:
- paint imperfection in not very obvious areas (2)
- rubber trim where the door window meets the frame was not properly tucked in
- an exterior black trim on top of the door is offset by half an inch (will likely take it to service to fix that)
- very small piece of door trim not well tucked in (super minor frankly)
- trunk door is slightly misaligned, difficult to tell so no biggie
- scratch on the b-pillar glass, visible by the b-pillar camera

I just removed the front plate holder, and ordered a SnapPlate - looks soooo much better! Washed, waxed, and ready to be enjoyed! Software seems pretty solid so far, will report back any issues.

Wish all of you speedy and seamless deliveries.

Nah, I would rather have a firm date than look forward to a date, only to have it pushed out the day before like poor @DavidSRQ (Twice now). I'll wait impatiently for the text/app update asking me to schedule. I'm feeling that could happen today!

Mine is one that has to have the software manually updated once it arrives in Tampa. So maybe they are waiting for it to get there and have that scheduled first. Tampa is a big center with tons of deliveries, so it's not like mine is the only car needing to be prepped. I've waited 9 months, a few days left aren't going to kill me (they are totally killing me).

After 10 long months I finally took delivery of my car last night, 2 days before my scheduled delivery date.

I was told last week that my car should arrive on Monday and be ready for delivery on Wednesday. Being paranoid of shipping delays I went up to the service center at 5pm Monday to ask in person if the car has indeed arrive. They confirmed it was on the premises. Like any self respecting reservation holder I immediately searched the parking lot for my car and found it in pristine condition on the side of the building. It was about 50% through installing 2021.40.6. I immediately checked Tesla Software Update Release Notes - Latest Tesla Updates and was happy to see that’s the latest version available.

I proceeded to linger for about 15 minutes walking around the car, taking pictures. Just as I had gotten back in my car and was preparing to leave a Tesla employee walked out to check the car. I immediately hopped out of my car and started a quick convo about the car and that I was awaiting delivery on Wednesday but I was hoping to get it sooner, like tomorrow if possible. He said he’d go inside and talk to a deliver specialist with more info.

Ten minutes later he returns and said they were preparing my paper work and I could pick it up tonight. My jaw would have hit the pavement if I wasn’t grinning so widely. An hour later I was driving home with my car.

After waiting 10 months and being delayed 8 months from the expected April delivery, getting it 2 days early was a nice gift.

It was dark by the time I took delivery, but I have a few pictures from before delivery when I was stalking the car.

Nice, looking to pick up my white/white in Austin here in a few weeks too! Glad to hear it was an overall decent experience - you really looked it over it seems.
