2021 Model Year Refresh: Owners' Thoughts?

This is what I was told by a service tech. There was a shortage in 2021 so they used 8GB.
Sounds like Tesla's problem.. I didn't have shortage of money and pay them less when they asked for the payment.
Maybe because I chose infotainment and other infotainment when scheduling the service. Then I noted upgrade needed from 8GB to 16 GB to support latest features like steam integration. if I just called the service I would have received different response?

Yes, Apparently it has made to the X. I don't think or at-least I have not seen on the S yet..

Yea, New screen actually make the screen looks so much better and I think it looks pretty useful with the new screen now.. I am yet to see one in person.
I wonder if they do offer to replace/retrofit this and what price...
It better extend than (HAHA) all the way to third row in X and right and left tilt for S

I did not get the steam update on my Aug build 439xxx plaid (no surprise) but my wife's Sept build MX did, and it sucks. I was hoping the kids could play on the rear screen while driving.
Turns out that's not the case at all. So in reality, it will never be played on the front screen.
No need to fuss over getting it on my plaid since the implementation also sucks. We are stuck grabbing data through Tesla's VPN which is slow af.
Totally unimpressed.
I feel like they made a minimum effort for marketing, just to say they made it happen. Even though all of us 2021 people get screwed out of it the 16GB.
BTW looks like steam requires just over 8GB to idle.

I think hopefully in future you should be able to steam from rear screen hopefully even while car is in motion (For the rear passengers only). Again who knows how long that would take if or when that happens. They do or atleast did have picture on order page showing gaming on the rear screen...
My understanding is the support infrastructure for the jump seats was removed with the 21 refresh, or before.
Based on everything I have heard so far, that is correct
I can confirm that 2020s have all the supporting infrastructure (my car is a 2020 and I retrofitted the jump seats successfully)
