Picked it up and my time in the waiting room has come to an end

Well worth the wait I will say. The process of picking it up was bizarre to say the least but it was smooth.

Tesla just dropped the offer for my trade in from $2400 to $1000 three days before delivery. What a load of BS
I'm sure it's been said already, but.. Carmax.

Tesla offered me $6,000 for my trade, sight unseen.
Carmax offered me $8,100 for the same trade, sight unseen.
I got busy and the car max offer expired.. I rolled up to them when I was free, said I had offer that was 9 days old. They said "too bad, so sad, we'll need to re-evaluate".. then gave me a $8,500 offer, which I took on the spot.

That 41% 'bonus' will either end up paying for acceleration boost, or some other goodies for my new Model 3. ;)

Just got home with my new baby!! Everything went smooth!! The 5.5 hr drive home was fantastic! Heated steering wheel, power trunk were a nice plus! I didn’t realize the 3 had a power trunk now!! Bonus!!

Ok heads up everyone, I just went into the Burbank SC to ask about the 12:01AM delivery time issue. A SA there just informed me that if it says 12:01 that means it is scheduled for home delivery. They just switched to home delivery even after I picked a day and time at the SC. They said I will get a call and/or email and it will say what the window is for delivery. I was a bit surprised because I might not be around outside the agreed upon time. He said they do this now if you are within 30 miles of the SC. No prior heads up, they just decided to do this. So if anyone gets the mysterious 12:01AM delivery time, this is what it means. This could have been done a lot better.
wonder if they would do that with trade-in? I have to trade in my truck at that same center.

Had never noticed that the LRs have Tesla spelled out on the brake calipers until just tonight when I pealed off the aros and put the caps on. Note that of you do this - update your wheel config to get better mile estimates with the slightly less range. Another note - every calci do comes up with 78 kwh battery. Is there 4 in reserve?? And some pics of the new car.

It is my time to bid this thread a farewell.

Today I picked my Model 3 LR AWD up in Indianapolis, IN. Ordered on 2/6/21, white interior.

Process was smooth as could be. I did my trade in paperwork, car was perfect, drive home was fun.

It was a nice surprise to see floor mats were included with mine. Nothing fancy, but some basic ones were nice to see. Chrome Delete on the accents, they have a matte black finish. Heated steering wheel was included on mine. Lights look good, not sure if they're the new ones or not.

I'll add some photos tomorrow when the sun is back out and I can get some good photos.
