Speculation, but I'm presuming that's what the blue connectors are for on the missing trim. In this video we can see one at 9s in the rear door, and then again in this photo, definitely one in the front passenger and maybe one in the dash. https://www.teslarati.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/model-s-plaid-interior.jpeg

It would be nice if Tesla went through what luxury car brands offer that they do not (e.g. HUD, CarPlay, Surround View, Ambient Lighting, Audiophile Audio) and if the economics of offering these don't work at the current price, then just make it an add-on package.

Why do they keep announcing all the pics as "plaid" versions? They do not have the plaid signs (spoiler, red calipers, carbon fiber interior). How are people telling these to be plaids and not LR?

Perhaps because some people are conflating the refresh models with Plaid models - and Plaid also sounds cooler? o_O

I thought Palladium referred to the new cells as well?

Why did they refresh this and put in the same old tail light style that no other model they sell has?

They must have ordered a metric ton of those tail lights

Does the car look wider from the rear shot? Seems like the same stance to me.
