VIKING BRAVERY competition.

The results are in!
We didn't have a direct hit in this competition.

At 1200z today the ship was located in Grid Square H2 and within its Minor Square 6

The closest, and therefore the winning, entry was @muraliaix (G2 19) who was just 145 NM off target. (Distance measured from the centre of the chosen square to the ship's position at midday)

In 2nd place was @Bantam (H1 23) who was a mere 156 NM off target.
In 3rd place was @dstyp (G1 23) who was 200 NM off target.

Congratulations to all, but there isn't so much as even a cuddly toy to win!

Some trivia for you:
The most popular GridSquare was G1
The most popular Minor Square overall was 7
If you had chosen that combination, which nobody did, you would have ended up 368 NM off target.

GLOVIS SIRIUS is currently about 250NM W of the Brest Peninsula and is maintaining 17kts She has about 600NM left to go with the weather improving with every hour and so she should arrive on time.
Her ETA for Zeebrugge is 2100z tomorrow.

GRANDE TEXAS is carrying the 3rd MIC shipment from Shanghai to the UK.
She is now entering the Bay of Biscay where, although the local winds are calm or light, large Atlantic swells remain.
She has managed to increase speed and at her present rate will arrive on time.
I have no weather concerns for the the remainder of her voyage
ETA Southampton 02:00 on Tuesday 16 Mar

VIKING BRAVERY continues to make steady progress at about 17kts despite strong winds and increasingly rough seas.
Tomorrow could see her facing Storm Force 10 winds and Tuesday is looking very rough too.
If nothing else, she is living up to her name.
ETA in Zeebrugge is 0900Z 19 Mar.

Yay, I had a second best earlier last month ... glad to get P1 on the last ship for this quarter 👌🏽

GLOVIS SIRIUS is currently dashing up the English Channel about 30NM south of Selsey Bill.
Her ETA for Zeebrugge is 2100z tonight.
According to the Zeebrugge port schedule she is not due to depart until Thursday morning and so I would expect her to be fully unloaded in Zeebrugge.

GRANDE TEXAS is carrying the 3rd MIC shipment from Shanghai to the UK.
She is now about 25NM south of Plymouth and looks to be on course to pick up a pilot off Brixham at around 3pm this afternoon.
The Southampton port schedule is still showing her arrival at 0200 tomorrow morning but I wouldn’t be overly surprised if this is brought forward - it appears technically feasible and so it may be worth keeping an eye on.
ETA Southampton 02:00 tomorrow morning.

VIKING BRAVERY has made impressive progress over the last 24hrs, where despite the heavy seas she managed to cover 405NM at an average speed of 16.8kts. She still has about 1500NM to go and to arrrive on schedule on Friday morning will require her to maintain that speed no matter what.
She’s done well to keep ahead of the worst of the weather conditions and so there is a real incentive for her to keep that speed up.
ETA in Zeebrugge is 0900Z 19 Mar.

GLOVIS SIRIUS is now alongside in Zeebrugge

GRANDE TEXAS is now alongside in Southampton

VIKING BRAVERY continues to make excellent progress across the Atlantic. She has maintained her average speed of 16.8kts and is on schedule to arrrive in Zeebrugge on Friday morning
I have no weather concerns for the remainder of her voyage.
ETA in Zeebrugge is 0900Z 19 Mar.

Mr M, here is a different type of shipping movements question for you. You normally (and rightly) focus on shipments of cars but are you able to find out any information on shipments of the new 4860 battery cells from Freemont to the new factory in Berlin where they are to be used in the new version of Model Y which is to be produced there, including the first RHD Ys which will be available to UK customers? Any info on this would be appreciated.

Are the cells made in Fremont or GF1?
I think @Vedaprime would be your best bet.

GRANDE TEXAS has just departed Southampton - job done.

VIKING BRAVERY has taken advantage of some mild weather conditions and has covered nearly 430NM in the last 24hrs. She is now confirmed on the Zeebrugge port schedule as arriving at 1000 local on Friday morning which at her present rate is easily achievable.
I have no weather concerns for the remainder of her voyage.

Would I be right in assuming that Q2 shipping of model 3's will only start once all uk Telsa inventory have been sold hence the expected delivery dates of newly ordered Model 3 in June
No, the delivery date is set by the next production run in Shanghai which I'm not expecting until towards the end of April.
