Yes, 9:50 in the linked video clearly shows RHD Model 3 on the transport:
Mr. M, you better find a few more ships since it looks like there are going to a "boatload" of Tesla's looking for a ride soon...
Will this show on our Account or will get a text/email or should be phone Tesla with our RN number if we have an allocation/match? Or any other way? Don’t want to seem to be bugging them every few days if not on this ship and have to keep doing on following ships... (M3LR white, black seats, normal wheels but with tow hitch). You can however have a pretty good guess based on when you expect delivery and when you get 'matched'. This seems to happen within a day or 2 of the ship departing from Pier 80.
I've seen all these videos and people getting excited over here that they could receive a MIC Model 3 but, BUT, what's wrong with the idea of them heading to Japan? or Australia/NZ?
My money is on Japan.
I can confirm the online configurators have changed in Australia, New Zealand, with new range and trim options in line with China builds.
Tesla staff locally in Australia. also confirmed they were seeing vins in the system starting with LRW.
It is not confirmed yet if all or only some variants will be out of China for ANZ. We could see a split like last quarter - SR+ China, LR/P Fremont - yet to be seen.
I am not seeing any ship indications yet to either country.
I too expect to see a large number of Hong Kong/Macau RHD builds, and expect Japan and UK too given the large numbers seen at Giga Shanghai, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Until such time as the ships depart from the new pier (I'm not sure when it is due to finish) tracking the ships from China will be very difficult without inside knowledge. The Chinese have done really well at keeping me out of the pub over the last year and are off my Christmas card list for the forseeable future. Berlin will start with Model Y I believe and so Model 3s will still be bobbing around the oceans for some time....Mr. M,
Last quarter you tracked the Chinese ships that came to Europe. Will you be tracking the Chinese departing ships that go to other destinations, like these referenced here?
If Fremont traffic to Europe gets severely curtailed when the Berlin Gigafactory comes online later this year, surely there will be something needed to occupy your time. And you seem like a fairly good candidate given your background and good work done on this thread. So what's it going to be? It would keep you out of the Pubs, right
