Received the same - they are evening things up getting ready for nothing for a long time (layoffs...)
That's the half empty glass ;-)
OR - getting ready for a decent release (active matrix headlights, single stream using FSD, etc.)
Leaning toward the empty glass.

‘Point’ differences are generally pretty minor. Occasionally they are for features that weren’t ready for the initial release but are more typically bug fixes. As such you may not notice any difference is the bug was not one that affected you.

If you think about it, if the but affected everyone it most likely would have been caught before the wide release of the software.

Anyone else having issues with Spotify account not switching properly with driver profiles? This started with 2022.16.2 - when we switch profiles between drivers it will show that it’s the new account but all the playlists and recents are the other persons profile.

I know that this is probably a joke, but the identified layoffs are for people doing mundane things rather than the UI software. The employees in San Mateo were doing manual annotation for classification training. They were identifying objects (trash can, box truck, discarded refrigerator, etc) for the machine vision system training. That's unskilled labor, and at some point the work is done.

What the layoff does do is signal to everyone that they are expendable. Rather than move you to the next project, the company will lay you off or have you "apply" for the next job as if you had been fired. If it's happening now when the company has record margins, profits, growth and demand, they'll do it even more viciously when there is an actual downturn and it's harder to quickly find another job. That's a disincentive to continue putting in long hours and make quality of life sacrifices.
