2022.20.8 lost USB audio source?

Recently updated to 2022.20.8. Now my USB stick doesn’t show up. Any ideas? anyone else same issue?

Car is 2015 pre-facelift MCU2

USB still works for me, same setup as yours, but I'm on 2022.24.5. It does take a little while to pop up when the car wakes up though. I don't recall it being gone on 20.8, but I rarely use USB.

Have you tried to unplug it and replug it? Also, check that it hasn't been removed from audio sources (you can enable/disable audio sources). It's possible the update toggled the USB source off. I'm also on 2022.20.8 without an issue.

Thanks for reply. Appears Usb stick became corrupted. Whether this is a failure or was corrupted by the Car I cannot tell

You could try low level formatting the USB or scanning it for errors. If it comes back clean, this was just a file system corruption (perhaps done by the car) and you can reuse the drive. If it has persistent errors, then it was just a coincidence that it failed at the same time the software was updated.

Also, keep in mind that USB sticks are not rated to work in the automotive temperature range. They often work fine, until they don't. I strongly recommend using SD Drives (with an adapter) as these are rated for automotive temperatures (very high/low). Cabin temps can easily go beyond 140F in the sun, and the drive internally heats up an additional 10-20F. They took mine away years ago. I was mad as hell. I had usb full of music. SC said tuff luck.

I'm running on the same version but my SD card and adapter with usb 3.0 not reconized. I formatted exFat with Dashcam,SentryClips,RecentClips and

I've had my 2021 Model Y for a year and I've been using USB Drive to play my favorite playlists from a dozen different USB drive and after the latest update my USB drives are no longer recognized....WHY DID THEY DO THAT???

The workaround is simple, and works consistently

When you get in the car, after it wakes up, activate voice input (press right scroller on 3/Y) and say: U S B
