2022.40.4.1 preconditioning changes NOT

Actually, in one situation, no.
I live at the top of a mountain and have noticed that pre-conditioning the battery is not nearly as effective in producing regen braking capabilities as the old software. I hate the idea of having to use brakes going downhill when the car could regen instead. I used to get down the mountain with 2% more SOC than I started out with. Not anymore. Oh well.

But that's just one situation. Through these discussions I learned an awful lot about what is really going on during the pre-conditioning process, both at home and when navigating to a SC. I'm satisfied that the new process is more efficient in the majority of driving situations.

Did I see somewhere that the newest software has the ability to display the battery temp? I couldn't find any reference to that. That function would be informative.
