2022.44.2 and Sentry Mode Clip length

Supposedly a feature of software 2022.44.2 is:
  • Sentry Mode Clip Length, which allows users to specify the length of the clip when a potential threat is detected.
I’m not seeing this in my options under Controls - Safety - Sentry Mode. Do you? I‘m in a 2022 MYP.

When I tap Release Notes on the Tesla App, it only says Thai language has been added. Nothing about Sentry record length. And here I was So looking forward to something important like Swahili language! 😜 Thank God for these high tech filled enhancements! 😱😳👍🤣🤣🤣🤣

If you look at the article posted by others it says the sentry features are only limited to certain markets, currently mainly Europe.

The rollout of 2022.44 looks very aggressive compared to 2022.40 versions. This version basically popped up on teslafi for 3 days and then thousands of cars are getting it. The 2022.40 versions took many revisions and many weeks to roll out.

The release notes for 2022.44 also look suspiciously short for a feature release. It only makes sense if this is a special version for Bjørn Nyland.

Can I guess that the 2022.44 actually contain many more hidden features that will only be enabled by an OTA switch on the mothership? Or, this is the front-loading payload for the holiday update? (Remember the V11 holiday update initially came as 2021.44?)

Not compared to the last week or so. The final versions of 2022.40 were also huge rollout nearly fleet-wide changeovers.

We were discussing in another thread - it really does feel like Tesla felt good about the software recently. As if the branch merges and conditional car stuff had all been addressed, everything core was stable, and they had hit a groove where they felt comfortable sending frequent small updates to a wider base. (That, plus the need to get everyone updated to whichever versions addressed the window pinch recall for affected cars.)

Interestingly, the release notes in my Tesla app before the update only had Thai language. But after I updated to 2022.44.2, the release notes in car showed both Thai language and Camera-based Sentry, and Safety options did have the Camera-based detection option there. And afterwards, Tesla app also has the Camera-based Sentry item in release notes.
