Here’s some pictures of the new V11 for those that have not seen it. A lot snappier. One of my favorite things is the update to Spotify and no volume lag from the steering wheel anymore. I also feel like the music sounds better. I’m a music junkie. Love the map updates, moving of icons on the map, finding all chargers, even non Tesla and lots of other little things. The app updates are great and amazing stats with free supercharging 😛

Nav update is still downloading.... looks about 3/4 finished, only getting about 376kb/s download speed although the signal appears good and the v11 update downloaded and completed in less than an hour. Is this normal for the nav update? Will it eventually time out and start over?
Mine (2012 P85) tried for a week at similarly slow speeds, and the download bar reached the edge of the screen (more than you'd think the progress bar should take). I even went and connected to a different Wifi, and rebooted. It never finished. I looked at packet flow in the router and there was nothing. Remote access and Streaming etc of course worked just fine over the same connection.

As of this morning the nav update has vanished, and it claims that the software is current (with 2020 maps)...

Other than this I'm happy with v11. I like that I can remove the heated seats from the bottom bar because I kept accidentally turning those on (not good in Texas in July, and yes, user error, but what can I say).

Nav update still in the same spot as my last post. I guess it doesn't really matter, other than I'd like to just get it done. It still gets me around oK. I guess its just going to sit there until their servers decide its my turn.

Haha yes, I too kept turning the heated seats on here in TX in July - and because of the glare, sometimes didn't notice it until much later. That's a good change; not sure I like some of the iconography but I suppose I'll get used to it.

Just got the update two days ago as well on 2016 MCU1 AP2 car. I wouldn't say it's better or worse, just different.

But color me dumb, I can't fully understand the launcher bar along the bottom. I've added all that I can - one climate shortcut like seat heater or steering wheel heater, max of four apps, and then to the right it shows one recent app. Finally on the far right there's the speaker volume control - except it's not completely in the bottom right corner as it was before, there's a large fully unusable area on the bottom right. Am I supposed to be able to add anything more to completely fill the bottom, or will there always be nothing on the bottom right corner?

Now that I've used the update a couple of days, I'm not impressed. More change for the sake of change.

As already mentioned above, a bunch of wasted space on the app bar at the bottom. What I find significantly worse is the radio station/favorite layout. Call me a luddite, but I still listen to FM (and even have one saved AM station). The stations are all jumbled now with the AM station in the middle of the FM stations, and the FM stations out of order. Two of my previously favorited FM stations are gone. And when flipping thru the FM stations with the steering wheel button, there's no longer an indication in the button as to which one it is (useful to start going in the other direction, to stay on FM, rather than selecting a streaming channel).

Ok, strangely enough, a day after adding the left seat heater button to the launcher bar, the right seat heater button AND right temp control show up on the right side of the launcher bar, pushing the volume control all the way to the right corner. Now it looks like I think it was intended, and the weird black empty space in the corner is gone....

Would you post a picture?

Downloading now…. I guess expecting FSD beta was but too far. But hey 3 cold weather improvements. I got triple peak snowflake tires so I’m really really really ready for the cold we don’t ever get…….

I am very happy that the album art is back with USB music. Also glad that it uses the art that is in the files not art downloaded from the web like they did for a while. When they downloaded form the web the art was missing on some songs and they shod the wrong artist on others. Also the glitches in the music that you would hear with the previous version are gone. Sometimes it won't load a song the first time. Mabe once every 8 hours of music. That glitch was very common and more severe a few years ago but went away with the software version before this one. Overall I like it.

This! I really dislike how they essentially removed the charging screen and replaced it with a small, dumb section of a general settings screen. In order to get any info at all you need to use the phone app. What a waste.

Otherwise, liking the udpate. <shrug />
Well, heck, if you want to talk about dumbing down the charging screen, I miss the realtime amps/volts reporting during supercharging. I should try the Chademo adapter with 2022.8.10.1 to see if they finally pulled that data during Chademo charging, too.
